That sounds like something Grandma SM2 would say.

For once, she didn't.

So, may I assume that Austin is no longer moving? Or is this new "love" happening wherever he ended up?

DG: Please, I beg you, stop the snarky. I never said love. I really like him and he likes it. That's as far as it goes.

If you didn't know, I moved to San Francisco a week ago. Paul is not taking care of me. He is not my sugar daddy. I won't let him. I'll be homeless before I let him do that.

SM2: re: Is That you In Your Avatar? - Swinging 20 That made me laugh.

A whole week? I'm impressed.

Snarky? I wouldn't bother. You have a history here, sir, which I have paid attention to.

I'm merely responding to the few conversations active at the moment. I don't matter to you, and you certainly don't matter to me - so let's just let the comments land where they may.

"A whole week? I'm impressed."

I guess you forgot my last relationship lasted three years.

Or, you and your man skipped the first decade. Went from first date to ten years? Don't act so superior, asshole. A lot of small steps make a lot of big steps.

HAHAHAHAH!

You should publish a book with all of her sayings. I'd so buy it. I love random coffee table books.

Seriously, though, don't scoff at the idea of a new relationship. What's wrong with two guys getting to know each other and see what happens?

Within a week of moving to a new city? Absolutely nothing, Miss HollyGoLightly.

I met him the first night I was here. What's the difference between that and meeting him a month after?

I don't see a difference, asshole.

"I don't see a difference, asshole."

Of course you don't, Darling.

And you keep calling me 'asshole' like it's some kind of revelation to you.

Given your limited awareness, I guess just opening your eyes is somewhat revelatory.

I hope your 'writing' doesn't get put by the wayside while you explore this new-found 'love'.

And honestly, to carry on in one post about having just gotten out of a three-year relationship (like that implies some importance,) only to turn around and gush about this ridiculousness is . . . well, ridiculous.

As are you. To me.

But what the hell do I know. I'm just 'the asshole'.

Don't you think you're being a bit condescending, DG? And you talk about my tactless approach to things. My advice: Get off your high horse before you fall and break your neck.

The thing that astounds me is that you scoff at new love. You and your man were once only a week old. Right? RIGHT?

So what? I don't see why it matters.

He was at the bar and I was at the bar and we started talking. How else is it supposed to happen? If I waited a month, I still would've met him and we still would've talked.

When it happened doesn't matter.

My 'writing' is doing great, thank you. I'm still produced. Have you ever been produced? I didn't think so. The "Jessica" director likes my work so much he asked me to write him a new script. Has that ever happened to you?

I thought not.

And I'll refrain from calling you asshole, since it doesn't seem to affect you much.

You're absolutely right. I am condescending, rude, assumptive and . . . unapologetic.

As I somewhat indicated, the bed here was made long ago - and has been slept in many times.

So to speak.

And when have I EVER claimed to be a writer? It's difficult to have any kind of success at something never attempted. Like cooking school.

I want to add just a little something here. I decided to just ignore Austin quite awhile ago - just didn't matter to me, and who cared anyway. Then, recently, he sent me a PM by mistake that he had intended for someone else. Now, while I don't play the 'post a PM' game, I can't pretend I didn't read it (kind of like a jury being told to ignore what they just heard.) It has colored my view, and made it difficult to read his posts of late.

I'll leave well enough alone - but he KNOWS that what I say is based in truth.

DG: You don't know the context of the PM.

Here's that PM:

I'll let you do the dance. Just once, though.

Ivan only let me move back in because he wanted to get back with me. When I wouldn't get back together, he kicked me out. I got back at him though by taking a few hundred dollars out of our joint account.

I'm excited and scared about tomorrow. I don't have a future job or a future place to live, which is the scary part.

We'll see what happens.

re: Is That you In Your Avatar? - Swinging 20

I made a mistake in moving back in with Ivan. He's the one with ulterior motives. And he didn't kick me out the first time, as the rumor went. I left on my own.

I've been lucky to meet some great people in this wonderful city.

And don't underestimate me.

"I got back at him though by taking a few hundred dollars out of our joint account."

My only estimation of you, Austin, is what you present here - in all your incarnations.

I think that's enough.

I'm not one for revenge, but what should I do? It's a joint account. It's my money too.

In other news, I had an interview with A&F today. As much as I hate it, I need a job really, really bad, so I'll take what I can get.

I was considering getting a job at A&F if I wasn't cast in the show. But I was...I know I'll eventually work retail. West Farms Mall in CT just opened up a huge A&F, so when I get a car up there, I'm thinking about getting a job.

They also have a Gilly Hicks there...it's A&F's new underwear/lingerie line for women. They have the gayest little welcome line ever, "Welcome to Gilly Hicks! We're the cheeky cousin of Abercrombie and Fitch."

Pretty nice, actually. It's a difficult holiday for me usually, because A) I'm not much of a nationalist - I prefer ideas that unite, not divide, and B) there's that whole 'not feeling equally treated' thing to deal with.

BUT, we participated in a reading of the Declaration this morning, which turned out to be very invigorating - even moving. Then spent some time with other friends who were involved that we hadn't seen in awhile. Since then, we've just been relaxing at home. We watched DAVE in tribute to the day, saw three fireworks shows from our house, and now the TinMan has retired, and I'm checking in on the board re: Is That you In Your Avatar? - Swinging 20

How was your day?
