I love how you people are acting like I just insulted your mother. If I said Yahoo.com was giving me the same problems, nobody here would say a word. Because it's this site you take it to a personal level that's really just sad.

Just to explain Matt_G. My day job is as an applications developer. I have several websites in production, as well as client software in the hands of thousands of users.

I can see the amount of work that goes into this site. The heart that it took to get the site public.

I also know that 100% of the time problems that users gripe about are related to their equipment, connection, or personal ability.

I would be willing to stake the farm that the problems experienced by you and the other "16" people are related to one of the reasons above.

So yes, it's personal for me. Matt, like you and I have previously connected based on our frustrations with the stupidity of the telephone answering public, the frustration for me is just as deep when I see someone who ungratefully criticizes something that was created for them, by people asking for nothing at all in return.

Imagine taking several months (or even years) worth of your free time to make your boyfriend a present as a token of affection, to have him complain to you the next day about how it's a piece of crap.

Hmmm. Did I say I was going to boycott this site? Did I say I was never coming back here? I said that I was sick of having to restart my computer every 20 minutes and of all the spyware that infects my computer because of THIS SITE. That's it. We're not all computer geniuses CKeaton and not everyone knows what to do in this situation.

Now it's this conversation that's really pissing me off and EXACTLY why I was telling someone I'm getting more and more sick of this place every day. I'm going out now. This is a ridiculous thing to fight about. You, DGrant & Iflitifloat must be desperate to fight with someone today and it's not going to be me.

No, I don't want to fight... that's why I was trying to diffuse with humor.

I will always defend the creators of the site, when someone uses their own site to defame them.

And PS... it is not THIS SITE (as you say). Believe me... I've looked for points of ingress. You are simply wrong about that. It may seem it to you, but it isn't.

Criticizing Yahoo.com is a tad different than ripping apart the efforts of a couple of guys who happen to be real people to a lot of us. But, nah, Matt. I'm not actually out to fight with you or anyone else today. It was a momentary, but honest, reaction to what you said to DGrant. I meant it, but it's over.

As timote and others (including Lil' Ol' Me have stated downloading FREE Mozilla Firefox will TOTALLY WIPE all those Microsoft Internet Explorer blues away.

And wait until you see the tabbed browsing!

I can understand your frustrations as I have had computer issues in the past. As Rob has already mentioned, the problems you are having can't be attributed to this site. It's a 99.99999999999999999998 percent guarantee on that. Somewhere you've picked up a virus, or some other spyware that your computer hasn't rid itself of yet and it keeps loading itself everytime pop on.
