I actually find that wrapping a scarf tightly around my head (of course touching the parts that hurt) makes it feel better.

A cool compress usually helps me. Alcohol and rubbing one out makes it worse.

But seriously, a cocktail will help in the short term. However the next day you may not think it was such a wise plan. I know this because i make this mistake daily.

I keep one of those gel eye masks in the fridge. They're not only good for headaches but also for allergy eyes.
