It's from our school production. She should have said that. Ha!
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
That would make a lot of sense. I was actually thinking, "There usually aren't that many people in Millie, are there?" but it makes more sense if its a high school production than a professional one.
I have lots of little cds covers, playbills, and misc. pictures on my wall of Wicked, LSOH, Hairspray, Producers, Millie, Pillowman, Spelling Be, POTO, Annie, Fame, Honk, Les Mis, Footloose, 42nd Street, Chorus Line.
And then I have my Rent wall with the movie poster (not sure if that counts as theatre or not), another Rent movie poster cut out from a magazine, a Rent magnet taped to my wall, and lots of tiny RENT labels/slogans/signs (I'm forgetting what their called right now), and a reallly small pic of the OBC poster.
My room at my mom's house is painted hot pink with gold music notes painted all over the walls. I have A gold comedy and tragady mask thing hanging over my vanity and I have all my playbills hanging up. I'm in the process of hanging up my Bway posters so soon it'll be really theater-fied! At my dad's I have like half a wall full of theater and Broadway pictures and such.

You did that? That's amazing. I will try to get some of mine up soon.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I have a Man of La Mancha revival poster in my finished basement. We just re-did my room a couple of years ago and my parents will kill me if I put any posters up.
But I do have a box of playbills and tickets under my bed!
"A little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing." - Thomas Jefferson
My room isn't filled with theatre, but being the big renthead I am I made a book with Rent newspaper articles, ticket stubs, advertisements, and I used beads to make portraits of every character. it's really kind of sad. I have a bunch of qoutes written in there too. In addition to that, I have cast pictures and posters from each show I've been in.
<--Sometimes it's easier to get out of a jam than into one
so last night i couldnt sleep at all, so i got up and remembered about bww! i hadn't been on the site since i'd signed up, and the weekly emails were starting to really annoy me so i was like, whatever i'll check it out. so now i'm officially obsessed, and after i looked at this thread, i got really excited and got out all my playbills, posters, and brocheres and attempted to theatre-fy my room. it's not as good as any of the other pictures i've seen here, but pretty damn good for being restless at 2am.
and i took pictures but i have no idea how to post them.
tothestage: ahh thank you so much! and i also looooooooove your quote. tick, tick BOOM! is my current obsession.
so yeah, my room not too theatrey.. yet. but soon!
edit: also, i really dont like wizard of oz that much, but i was dorothy once so ALLLL my break-a-leg gifts were wizard of oz related, hence the random stuff on my dresser.
Sorry, this is random but a few people have Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Playbills in color on their walls. When I went I got a black and white Playbill. Is there a reason for this? Just curious. Thanks. (Great thread by the way)
