Hey dirty boys and Addy. Back at home. A few drinks with the mentor and waiting for the family.
just popping in to say hi, kids. Had 3 martinis at Barracuda, now I'm off to Marie's with my best friend to belt out (and belt back) a few!!

Awww...that's sweet, WithoutATrace. Which leads me to...
So Der Rosenkavelier was EX-quisite, as the Brits pronounce it. An older woman relinquishes her love for a younger man so that he can pursue a more age-appropriate relationship. But first she spends the better part of the first act f**king his brains out in a large fluffy bed.
And--here's the best part for you aficionados of Secret Girl-on-Girl love (and we know who you are)--since the younger man is played by a woman, you get to watch two (fairly) attractive women rolling around in bed singing Richard Strauss. And they REALLY get into it at one point.
Seriously, it is beyond beautiful. The three women were magnificent: Susan Graham, Laura Aikin and, especially, a German soprano I'd never heard of named Angela Denoke, who sang the Marschallin with perfect dignity.

Jack Black:
"How can you take me out of what is mine?"
We don't want to turn it into THAT kind of thread, do we?
CKeaton -- did you see my posting above about the girl-on-girl love scene in the opera last night? You would have liked THAT.
I am going to assume something was deleted...because some of the preceeding posts don't make sense.
Ok, I HAVE to stop having so much fun...
that's what I guess I was referring to...
well... I had french toast for brunch, went shopping, had a cocktail in the afternoon and a fab dinner...
