I just got to thinking I havn't seen JLC in anything since "Freaky Friday" and one of the latter "Halloween" films (IMDb lists a bunch of recent stuff that I havn't heard of).
I loved "Trading Places" (And come to think of it, they properly where the first female breasts I ever did see on the television outside of some news report in same famine stricken East African country at anyrate). If anything, Jamie Lee Curtis does good comedy.
Any other fans?

Yeah, I like Jamie Lee. I thought she did a great job in Freaky Friday. Totally agree that she is a great comic actress. Love watching her on talk shows because she seems very honest and grounded.

Hehe. I have to admit supportivemum that I did some YouTubing before posting here, and ended up watching a few of her interviews posted on there. She is hilarious!
And how could I forget "True Lies"! I LOVED her in it.
She gives what I'd say is her best performance in an underseen Roger Corman-produced drama called Love Letters where she plays a woman who's having an affair with a married man.
Sometimes I don't know what to think of her outside of films. She's very outspoken, which I like, but she's said some things that make me wonder where she's coming from. In many interviews, she's seemed to imply that actresses should just go away when they get older.
I love Jamie Lee. Come on, "A Fish Called Wanda"? "Ken! SOMEBODY just called!!"
She's interviewed quite a bit in the new doco "Not Quite Hollywood" and she's hilarious. I would LOVE to have a drink with her. She def.needs to do more.
Not Quite Hollywood.
Does anyone know where the rumors started about her being born transexual/intersex?

She is a pretty fantastic actress. I love her in A FISH CALLED WANDA and of course she is wonderful in FREAKY FRIDAY, for some reason I thought she had been Oscar-nominated for the latter, but I checked and she wasn't. Guess it was just a buzzed-about performance either way.

Freaky Friday never seemed much of an "Oscar bait" film to me. Nonetheless I did love her in it.
And her digestive track is very regular!
Very underrated. The only reason to watch True Lies.
I love action comedies, and True Lies is among my favorites. JLC is fantastic in it. It is the only movie in which Tom Arnold is tolerable.
I have a soft spot for Perfect, scary I know.

A FISH CALLED WANDA - perfection.
AND, she's married to Christopher Guest, which should tell you something.
I've always liked her, but I traded up to LOVE when she did the photo spread showing what women her age in the profession REALLY look like in their underwear.
She knows who she is and what matters.
Lady Hayden-Guest looked absolutely stunning at the State Opening of Parliament in 1998 particularly amidst all the frumps, and was on the cover of all the newspapers. In the aftermath of the death of the Princess of Wales, I think the media were hoping she might be the new aristocratic totty. But then Blair removed the rights of hereditary peers to vote on prospective legislation and so it didn't happen.

Nice article about her in this month's MORE- She's more interested in writing kid's books now and being a mom- again something she feels working women should do more of ( not that I agree w her about that) She has some great comments on getting sober.
