How does the Hedwig movie compare to the stage production? I have not seen either.

Okay, this can be a one on one!

The Hedwig movie is alarmingly true to the stage production. It's already being touted as one of the most successful stage to film transitions. In fact, I think the film answered some questions which were left to the imagination in the stage version.

I only got to see Taboo four times. It closed too soon. I could have watched Raul sing Petrified every single night if I was able to.

Hi JohnBoy, my favorite tv show EVER- was Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. I don't think most of the posters here were born yet for that one.

No show really got me interested in theater. When I was on a sabbatical from teaching, everyone started urging me to go into show business. They thought I was very funny and commercial. Everyone wanted me to do stand up but I wouldn't. I got headshots and send them out, got a good deal of work in a short amount of time, but I found out that I don't like acting.

What got me interested in working in theater, though, was Hedwig. I hadn't seen it, and a friend encouraged me to go with him one night. the theater (the Jane Street Theater) was in my neighborhood so I agreed, under duress, to go. Well, that was it. I went every night to that theater, to that show. I started by volunteer ushering, then paid usher, then head usher, then asst. house manager, then house manager, then house, bar, and concessions manager.

Good morning! Oh, the thread's still here, thank you.

Weez-about the avatar. I take a lot of pictures at the shore. Lots of ocean, sand, sky, and birds. I noticed that this one bird seemed to have an interesting face, so I enlarged her (to me it looks like a prissy woman) and made it a portrait! isn't she funny?
