There is a sweet melancholy tone to his voice that touches the soul and uplifts. I can't wait to hear the whole EP. I hope Jason books an small venue in Manhattan in the near future to showcase his musical talents!

From website:
"Don't die with your music still in you" - Wayne Dyer
"I was recently asked why I was doing this now . . . and the answer is simple: to explore the part of myself that always wanted to make music. I finally got to the place in my life where the fear of not being good enough was not as great as my need to express myself. It’s taken a long time to recognize that nagging voice of judgment, self-criticism, and comparison was not a loving one, and to take contrary action.
The French philosopher and Jesuit priest, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, wrote, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” I now know a big part of this human experience has been the journey of finding my own voice, both literally and figuratively. For some of us this happens early in life, and for others later. May your music not die in you either." - Jason Gould

#4Jason Gould's Debut EP
Posted: 9/27/12 at 10:41amI like his voice, but did his mother produce this? It's such a sleepy tracklist. Hello sounds the most interesting.

He has the same problem as Liza, he's not allowed to sing Mama's music.

Posted: 9/27/12 at 12:57pmIt's that kind of ageism that is preventing Madonna from reaching her true potential.

I do.
#16Jason Gould's Debut EP
Posted: 9/27/12 at 3:39pmDoes sound a tad late to start a music career. I'm sure he had connections earlier in his life. Is Jason worried about inheritance?

I think it's less worry about his inheritance and more a mid-life decision to do something he always felt he couldn't or shouldn't.
I say, good for him.
Forty-six is a good age to say, "Why the hell SHOULDN'T I do that? I'm not going to live forever or be healthy forever or be able forever. If I don't do it now, when will I ever?"
I say good for him. I got a coupla things on my "bucket list" I'm working on. Maybe he will inspire me.
As Cole Porter wrote, "We shall never be younger than we are today."

#22Jason Gould's Debut EP
Posted: 9/27/12 at 4:42pmI agree that the production is kinda a bit snoozy, but it's not bad. I doubthe's deluded enough to think this is going to flourish at this point into a massive career, or anything though--so good for him.
