Let me let everyone in on a dirty little (albeit not well-kept) secret about local gay publications. I used to work for one.

Many of them do a great job. The writers, however, are paid terribly. Most of them are freelance and are paid a pittance per word. It's a great opportunity, especially because you get a lot of freedom in what you do and get the chance to interview some pretty exciting stars. But this also means you are giving very green journalists a lot of power. So always be careful before you run with something that appears in the local gay publications.

Whoops. oh, no, she in no way looks like a C.H.U.D. But I can't help but see it in the JHud nickname.
Does everyone really need a nickname like that?
What happened to people creating nicknames not even remotely related to their actual names?
You know, unless the guy's first name really IS Flava.
