As a lifelong Jets fan, I find it disconcerting to watch them finding ways to win games. My wife asked me if I thought the Jets would be in the Super Bowl. My response: "No, and if anyone tells you they think the Jets will be in the Super Bowl, then they're not really a Jets fan".

Note: I know there was another thread where Sanchez' affinity for Broadway shows was alluded to, and some folks questioned its authenticity. Well, in their pre-game show yesterday, ESPN had a segment on Sanchez & Broadway, and I think it clearly backs up his affection.

That is what mostly irks me this season, both with the Jets & with my disappointing boys in blue. I'm sick of the fans just proclaiming that the teams are the second coming to football. Yes, the Jets have a nice pretty record right now, and have won these games, but you can't excuse them for completely blowing their leads each game. Come out strong, fall apart with stupidity, and then in mere seconds pull something out of your ass to win it. Good for them that they can keep finding that thing to pull, but three weeks in a row this has happened, luck only goes so far. We are getting later into the season, you can keep relying on this. If they try this with NE in two weeks, they are going to be sorely disappointed! They need to figure out how to maintain a steady game. They HAVE the talent and skill to do it, I just don't know what is stoping them.

They play ugly football, but so far, they've played it pretty well. I think they've gotten themselves a reputation as a rough team, and they've gotten some very untimely penalties. Despite his big catches, Edwards is killing them with stupid penalties. If they get into a shootout with the Patriots, or most other teams, they'll be in trouble. First & foremost, however, is not looking past the Begals.
Sanchez' record as a starter is 17-9 in the regular season, and 2-1 in the playoffs (I think). That's pretty remarkable. My biggest concern is that they've lost their defensive mojo. They no longer terrorize QBs, and even thought they upgraded their defensive backfield in the off-season, they're giving up more big passing plays.
