No. I wish I had gone. I haven't seen him in such a long time. Every time I would go to one of his shows he was always very, very sweet to me. He's a doll.

wow, I know Joey from way back in the Fiorucci days. When he used to sing backup for Klaus Nomi, along with my friend Adrian. Joey was dabbling in his solo act and I'm so pleased to see how far he's gone with it. I saw his show once since then, and he's great.

There must be people out there with bad things to say about him, but I have yet to encounter one of them. I think he's one of the sweetest guys. So many of the drag queens think 'bitter/mean' is the only way to play that part, and I love that he's SO not that.

The show was good. We've all gotten so old--I feel like I'm on the Celebrex Music Tour when I see the acts from 'back in the day'--I first met Joey at Wigstock. But the energy was great and the crowd loved it.
