I can just hear the love he's going to get from Red Sox nation when the Yankees play at Fenway next year...
At least A-Rod will finally be off the hook.
I miss Bernie Williams already.
I've never been a Yankees fan, but they are acquiring some players that I like this off season. I may have to start paying attention. :)
Woow. Weird. Spent the last couple of years hating and dissing him...now...weird.
I'll miss Bernie
wow. The red Sox fans will love this. Now if only a national leauge team can get Sammy Sosa, then we can see who hate who more. The red Sox and Damon or the Cubs and sosa.
Oy. This is bad. He's going to be massacred if he ever goes back to Boston.
What on earth possessed him to do this? Seriously now, no amount of money is worth risking another Bambino curse and having your memory be spit upon by Red Sox fans for all time.
That bastard broke our sweet billgoatgirl's heart! He was goingto be her prom date too.

At least he will finally cut his hair.
Cubs fans do not care about Sosa - he is a has been.
The Cubs look to be in fairly good shape - an entire new outfield.
i defer to that raving wit, nelson muntz, "ha-ha."

Egad. I was most definitely surprised.
He looks weird with short hair...I thought if nothing else, he'd stay in Boston just to keep his hair! Ha ha.
Lots of changes in the Red Sox - should be an interesting season!

Well folks remember life really bites when you are a Red Sox fan. My poor mother-in-law, she must be really upset!

This is a Black Day in Red Sox history.

I'm going to go out on a limb here...but this is just my $.02.
Johnny Damon is a good ballplayer. A very good ballplayer. But he's not as good as he thinks he is. Don't get me wrong - he has GREAT days, but sometimes I do find his performance a bit inconsistent. When he's on - he's really on. But when he's off? Not so pretty. I will miss him, but I think the Sox will survive without him. Hopefully!

I wish you had all seen my mother (a devout Red Sox fan) when she heard this. It was pretty comical. I thought she was going to spontaneously combust.

It's sad! I will need to add my #18 T-shirt to my collection of now-vintage Red Sox gear including:
My autographed Nomar Garciaparra t-shirt
My Pedro Martinez jersey
My "Cowboy Up" towel from '03 playoffs...
My mom had a fit too. I think she had a crush on Mr. Damon.
ACCKK. Just read an interview with him where he talked about the Yankees getting the 'best lead off hitter in the business' when they acquired him.
EGO MUCH?
It is funny that he has to cut that infamous mop of his and shave the beard, though. Wonder if, like Samson, this will take away his strength?!
you're on the yankkees, you're on the red sox, i don't care but have some pride in your team.
you don't switch teams just for more money, not with the ammount of money they're making anyways every year.
that's all i have to say
Johnny Damon will bat .400 after he cuts his hair, and the Yankees will win the World Series in 2006.
