If it's true, they should have picked Conan (but only because Billy Crystal turned it down).

Stewart will bring a freshness to the show, however with a more classy quality. Not the rotten freshness Chris Rock provided last year.

I like this pick. Chris Rock was terrible! I only hope that they give up handing "lesser" awards out in the aisle. What was that about?!

I've only watched The Daily Show a few times. It's OK. I prefer CONAN's show.

It's not confirmed by AMPAS yet, but it's 75% true. Announcement is expected tomorrow, if true, from AMPAS.

Last year they tried to "mix things up" by giving out awards in the aisle. They thought it would make the show seem younger and "hip." It was ridiculous.

Yes, it did finish on time for once. Yet, the greatest single moment in award show history was worth the wait at the very end of the Golden Globes.

They could have eliminated all those superfluous film montages instead, if they wanted to conserve time. If I were a techie in the film industry, I'd be very insulted by what they did last year.

Took them long enough to announce a host. Billy Crystal said that it takes about 6 months to prepare being a host of the Oscars -- it's a long and important gig. I hope Stewart can entertain us that long. It'll be an interesting ceremony, to say the least, since most of the BP nominees will be political in nature.
