Exactly HOW did this thread go from SNL to...this? 
Jude's monologue was probably the best part. He started talking about him being a theater actor first, and one day he was getting ready for a show, and he looked in the mirror, and thought, "Wow. I am really good-looking."
He then burst into a song about his good looks (with the girls backing him up, naturally). It was much funnier than the usual monologue songs.

I just watched it. Yeah, that Ashlee thing was terribly embarrassing, but I knew from the first time Jennifer Lopez sang there that the days of "live" performance were over. You could hear *three* JLo's singing together. It's just too bad for Ashlee that she is the one who was "caught".
And I do wonder if she was asked by the powers that be to blame her band, since clearly it was the fault of the SNL sound dept. who started the track to the wrong song, and then the band joined in.

Posted: 10/24/04 at 12:47pmI really liked this episode. The presidential stuff was all great... with Mary Cheney being a lesbian and all, and Cheney being a fattie... the monologue was fantastic! Maya's "I wanna get to know Jude in the biblical way!" Timeless! And Weekend Update, aside from the Babe Ruth ghost thing, was one of the best in a long time. And the new toilet commercial. Props to them for seeing the comedy in that British guy's no-suck vacuum commercials... and I LIKED the Jane Eyre skit. That ghost was really a whore, who knew???? Updated On: 10/24/04 at 12:47 PM
