Just back from the X Factor Auditions in Newark!

Posted: 6/9/11 at 10:57pmHad lots of fun, got a "behind the scenes" tour. I won't spoil too much out of respect for my friend. But, I will say, Paula and Simon are back in true form. I'm excited for the show in September, though I don't know if X Factor/American Idol can both survive. They seem like the same show. Yes, I know they'll be on different times of year, but for them both to survive, America would have to have an appetite for the same type of show 9 months in a row. Don't see that happening.

Posted: 6/9/11 at 11:39pmI think you're giving the American taste in television way too much credit

Posted: 6/9/11 at 11:57pmLOL - very true. I wish I was in the TV business. Use someone's recycled ideas, make some flashy commercials, and make millions. Sounds like fun.

Posted: 6/11/11 at 2:54pmYeah - Nicole (whatever her last name is) seemed nice, but very boring. No personality, she would give a few words of muddled critique as the other judges would shout over her and complete dominate her.

Posted: 6/11/11 at 3:00pmI'll be glad to see Simon and Paula back together, although I didn't really miss them on Idol this year.

Posted: 6/11/11 at 4:05pmI don't watch Idol regularly. I just peek in every once in a while. However, I am curious about X Factor and will tune in at least for the first season.
