Was CATCH AND RELEASE released this year? I think we all are hoping to forget about that debacle of a movie. She was good in it though... as good as the material and direction allowed her to be anyways.
I honestly forgot how good of an actress Garner could be. Her film choices had been so dull and the last season of ALIAS was pretty disappointing. She truly gives one of my favorite performances of the year in JUNO. Perhaps she won't be nominated (my two favorite supporting performances of the year, Garner and Marissa Tomei in BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD seem to be neglected by the critics) but I am rooting for her.
Then there's Page. Most people seem surprised by her, but I'll say it again, she gave a fantastic performance in HARD CANDY and she's even fun to watch in the X-MEN films.

I forgot about BEFORE THE DEVIL....I'd add that to my list, as well.
Very good film-we all enjoyed it the most out of the three we watched this weekend.
The casting was impeccable for all the characters. I've always loved J.K. Simmons and Alison Janney, and newcomer Page was just terrific!
I'm surprised I haven't seen it on any of the critics' ten best lists yet.
Saw it tonight - my companion and I loved every second of it. I have not one negative thing to say. Perfect movie.
...and it's a movie that has stayed with me.
I saw it over a week ago and I keep replaying parts of it and feeling myself drawn closer and closer to it.
I, too, loved every second of it.
I absolutely loved, loved, loved this movie. Granted, I am in its demographic, but still. It was just fantastic, and so quotable.
Ray, I completely agree with you about Jennifer Garner. One of my favorite performances of the year.

I saw this movie a while ago but I just got this in an email. Very cute whether you're Jewish or not.
Jewno
Is that really J.K. Simmons?
I loved this movie so much. ( I know that comment added nothing to the conversation)

If you've seen any commercials for "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", you'll notice they totally copied the style of the "Juno" credits - the sort of childish, crayon-drawn lettering.
I expect more movies imitating Juno's style - the dialogue, the music, etc.

A sweet little movie, memorable mainly for Ellen Page's performance. I certainly enjoyed it, but don't think it was worth all the Oscar nominations it got.
that movie (juno, i didn't bother to watch jewno) was so cute i could have pooped a rainbow.
Thanks!
Between Juno and Hairspray, I thought Allison Janney was the funniest person in the world for 2007.
