Highly Anticipated????????????????????????????
I just burst out laughing in my office. Wow. That made my day.
Who's Justin Guarini?
I hope he performs all of his many hits. Perhaps even a Good Vibrations medley!
well, its always good to laugh so Im glad the post brought a little happiness to your day, but seriously, fans are flying in from all over the country for this event and they are DEFINITELY excited and looking forward to this concert.
I guess youve never seen Justin perform, or maybe you are judging from when he was on A.I, but I saw him perform at a movie kickoff event (he's going to be in the movie) a few weeks ago. Its a whole new sexy mature accomplished Justin. He looks great, sounds great, and he absolutely sings his heart out and gives a wonderful entertaining performance.
Can't ask for a performer to give more to his audience than 110% and thats what Justin gives to his fans.
So leave the office and the preconceived notions in Sept and go see for yourself.
Hes really GOOD!
I like Justin, well enough. I think it's unfortunate that his album was so misguided. He's released another album that was far superior.
You know people fly in from all over the country for Star Trek conventions and Renaissance Festivals, too.
I asked this on the other thread that you started but never got an answer, is he opening for Reuben?
Will the movie be as good as From Justin to Kelly?
I actually liked his first album. But I was a MAJOR American Idol fan Season One. I mean, c'mon....who doesn't love Kelly?
More importantly...doesn't this belong on the Off-Topic board?
It is such an event that it merits a thread on BOTH boards!

Wow! I totally forgot about him.

It is a bit overpriced for a "Justin Guarini Concert." $100 for an orchestra ticket? Kelly Clarkson is only charging $70 for the top ticket on her current concert tour and she is FARRRRRR more popular than her runner-up.
Please, Dave. I'm surprised he didn't go higher! Especially for a one night only engagement!
And this concerns broadway how? Hmm...

Justin is a superior entertainer. He is an all around showman & worth every penny of the ticket prices. I saw him last month & can't wait untill September. I would go see him any time & any place.
And, you joined this Board, just to say that?
Was Justin in the Lion King or something? I can't remember, I probably got it wrong.
I thought he was pretty good on AIdol but was glad he didn't win. Can you imagine the puffy hair trend that would have sprung up if he'd won. It was meant to be.
I don't think the record company that released his 1st albumn gave him enough support though.

Shouldnt this be on the off-topic board.
Seriously why are the Justin groupies joining to post about him?
Get a hint, NO ONE cares. No one in their right mind will pay $100 dollars to see some has-been perform.
I'm shilly in here...but laughing my butt off!
This is the most ridiculous event I've ever seen shilled on this board!
I am so glad that this loser is able to book just one venue...and in Sewell, NJ!?
Quite a list of fellow performers. NJs favorite band? Never heard of them.
As long as jgrules1 says so, then I believe him (especially since he just joined today to tell us). I guess the millions of people who didn't buy his album must be wrong.
i'm bumping this thread because its too amazing to let die anytime soon (the thread, justin guarini's musical career... well that can go sooner than later).
doodle...If you read it says "Philly's favorite band" not NJ's.
NJ has never heard of them either.

It is sad that Broadway doesn't support someone that comes from its ranks. Justin Guarini was in a master class for Lion King when he entered American Idol, not in a studio trying to be a popstar. He was offered a role in Cabaret and tried out for the part of Che' in Evita. I support Broadway even though I don't live in NY but to me this is sad. I attended Rockers on Broadway two years ago and Justin Guarini was there performing for free and his fans donated a check which Justin matched for Broadway actors with aids.
So now he is having a concert which someone posts on this message board and there is no support for him. It is no wonder people that read these things take fewer trips to the theaters in NY.
I happen to be a Justin Guarini fan but also fly from Minneapolis three or four times a year to attend numerous Broadway productions. I belong to this board to get information about plays and musicals, but don't see what is wrong with an announcement about someone who has a Broadway connection having a first solo concert. Makes me wonder if supporting Broadway is a smart move if this is the way you treat a fellow actor.
