Katherine Heigl declines Emmy Nomination

Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh should each have an Emmy by now.
Ellen Pompeo has been unjustly snubbed, her character might get on some people's nerves but she has done some beautiful, powerful job with Meredith.
Heigl has had some shining moments, but I don't know, I don't get where she is coming from. It just seems rude to me and too diva-esque.

Well, Ellen is in the lead actress category, so it's always tough.
At the risk of sounding like a squeeing fangirl, I will say that Sara had a pretty spectacular year. They haven't announced what episode she is submitting, but it's widely assumed that she will submit Heart of the Matter. She had devestation, rage, tears, heartbreak. It was a good one. I don't know if she is well known enough to get a nomination, but it WOULD make me sooo happy if she did. /end squee

Posted: 6/13/08 at 12:29amSandra Oh is often the strongest actor without even saying a word. My favorite Christina scene was when she was sulking in bed with Mer and Mer offered to let Christina mock her - Christina picks up her head, thinks about it for a minute, and crashes back down. SO funny!

Posted: 6/13/08 at 4:48amIf she didn't believe her performance this season was Emmy-worthy, she could have just gone through the motions and not been nominated. She did this to draw attention to herself.

Posted: 6/13/08 at 10:45amKatie is very careful about the choices she makes. She needs to make sure her work is full of artistic integrity and prestige. We are talking about the woman who did Bride of Chucky, Vegas Dick, Bug Busters, and Under Siege 2. Good stuff.

Posted: 6/13/08 at 11:09amLike I said, I'm really waiting to hear her comment about "27 Dresses." She'll probably say that it was sexist or something too because all her character did was help her friends get married. Oh yeah, and that a woman's role shouldn't revolve around taking care of everyone else all the time. She probably wouldn't like that I laughed so hard at certain parts that I had tears coming out of my eyes.

Y'all are just a buncha haters!
Oh, and I didn't realize she was ever with Jason Behr. Ya gotta love it when TV siblings hook up.

Posted: 6/13/08 at 11:28amI proudly admit that I am a hater. I just can't stand her...lol. Well, she is friends with the avie, so she can't be THAT bad. I just think she needs to get osmeone to advise her on what to and not say.

I don't think I'm really a hater, but I just think there are some things she really needs to watch what she says or does in public. Like I saw video footage of her after the benefit concert that the cast of Grey's and Private Practice did back in February, and her behavior sort of disgusted me. She was being a little rude to her fans when signing autographs, and then she was literally pulling T.R. Knight away from from his fans because I think she wanted to go drink or something.
I did like "Knocked Up" and "27 Dresses" though. But I saw them because they looked interesting, not because of her.

They were all late that night and they had dinner reservations, so that was her excuse for pulling TR. It still came off as horribly rude. She was taped telling TR's boyfriend, "If you don't get him, he will stay here ALL night!" and "Why is he being so obtuse?"
I think I just decided to go read a book.

Well, you know, she has to look out for "that kid."
Speaking of "that kid," I'm sorry, but I think it's weird he's dating a teenage college student.

Posted: 6/13/08 at 2:29pmWell, she doesn't need to supplement her income...she got $8 million dollars from Denny when he died. Some of it went to the clinic, but it's kind of understood that she doesn't have to struggle anymore (financially, at least).

Source: I'm part of the Grey's Fan Club and got this email,
"Earlier Katherine REMOVED herself and dropped
out of the Emmy's because she thought her character
Izzie hadn't been given adequate material.
Okay?
And now there are RUMORS flying that she
may quit Grey's Anatomy.
Now, these are only rumors...and I will
keep you updated.
I LOVE the character Izzie and hope nothing comes of it.
Not too crazy about all of Katherine's whining though...
She only pulls down like $200,000 PER EPISODE!
Have a great weekend
Until Next Time,

How can she quit? Doesn't she have a contract?
And lovepuppy, she used all of Denny's money on the clinic.
