First, Kathy's character, Babs Duffy, tries to pick up Olivia, and then she makes out with Christopher Meloni.
LOOOOVE IT!
It also stars Sutton Foster has a lesbian!
I loved that episode. First off Kathy Griffin I think needs to do more heavy drama...It's high-steryical. And not only did the episode feature sutton foster, who looks 12, but there was Leslie Kritzer and the dude who played woof in Hair Byce Ryness as a vampire wanna be rockstar.

If they were going for high camp, they succeeded.
Loved it though it takes a lot for me to hate an episode of SVU.
Kathy did say the writers went to her acts to incorporate elements of her actual life into her character. That was highly evident with the Suze Orman quip she had with Benson.
The only thing that pissed me off about the episode was the fact that they cut the Kathy/Mariska kiss. Apparently it was much too hot for the 9PM slot. Having seen the kiss, I mean...REALLY, NBC??? REALLY???

Was it supposed to be funny?
I thought it was hilarious.

Oh I did too. I just wondered was it SUPPOSED to be funny?
I know I'm in the minority here with my opinion of her, but she can't act. At all. That episode lowered their usual standard of excellence.

There are people who think she can act? That speech where she "Came Out" was stiffer than Michael Jackson at an orphanage.

Terrible joke! Take it back!
are you going to get all Mitch on him?
Probably.
Honestly the whole Jay Leno debacle that moved this show's time-slot effected a lot of the plot-lines this entire season. Even before this episode there were so many elements of camp displayed that was nonexistent in previous seasons. Bruce McGill and John Laroquette's episode immediately comes to mind.
This reminds me of that wonderful camp episode of X-Files. I need to watch that again. Does anyone remember what season it was in?
Seasons 1-9?
HAR HAR HAR, DOODLE!
It was the episode that was played entirely for comedy, spoofing scenes from classic science fiction movies. It was such a delightfully surprising episode when it aired.
Loved the 2nd hour, with the OZ boys getting back together again!
