Kevin Smith Started Writing CLERKS 3 This Morning!

"THE BEGINNING OF THE END
20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It's been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion...
CLERKS III will be the best film I'll ever make."

As long as my Jay and Silent Bob are there, I am game.

I got to see Clerks 2 in Red Bank at Vulgarthon and had a BLAST. Kevin, Jason and most of the cast was there. I have a soft spot for any View Askew production.

Kevin needs to NOT feature his wife in this one. He keeps putting her in his movies and she can't act. It's distracting.

I thought Red State was awful and Zack & Miri was just bad. I didn't even really like Clerks 2. Especially when compared to the first one.

I like CLERKS 2 the more I watch it. At first I really hated it, but I've grown to appreciate it over the years.

Clerks 2 was ridiculous and so removed from the first, it was barely related and I loved it.

Agreed. CHASING AMY is an amazing film. I watch it a lot (always have) and wonder why Joey Lauren Adams never made it big.

I think the situation was one they kept seeing in every "mainstream" movie with lesbians. They were furious when it happened again in Th Kids Are All Right

I will not lie, I am kinda excited upon hearing this. And, I agree that Clerks 2 does get better with time. But, I don't think that this one would be in black and white. I believe that the reason why Kevin Smith shot the original Clerks in black and white, was because when he was filming it, it was cheaper to shoot in black and white back then then in color. However, that isn't the case with today's filming. In fact, it's the opposite.
