Depends on how you are shooting these days, Winston. If you are using film then yes, shooting directly onto B&W film stock is much more expensive because the production demand isn't there for it anymore. But if you are shooting digitally all it takes is a change in the settings and blam, black and white.

God, I HATED The Kids Are Alright. It makes me cringe.

And yeah, the original Clerks was in B&W because they couldn't afford color film. Now it would have to be altered, since it will be shot digitally, correct?

It's kind of brave to announce it so early. He could hit a wall and then what?

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

I was listening to his podcast when Clerks 3 was announced and he said that he wants to do it in black & white, but is apprehensive to shoot it on digital and just reverting it to black & white. Said it cheapens the value.

I really liked THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT. It wasn't perfect but the performances were good. And I love Mark Ruffalo!

(I've never seen Clerks. Either of them.)
