Kill Bill

Anyone else love the Kill Bill series? I personally think they have some of the best cinematography I have ever seen.

re: Kill Bill

Love it. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Great use of color and lighting in Volume 1. When The bride is fighting in the nightclub particularly - that's some cool cinematography.

Good story too.

re: kill bill

Loved 1 more than 2, but still an all around great film(s).

re: kill bill

I still think of it as one long film.

It was phenominal. In fact, I should watch it again soon.

re: kill bill

Watching them back to back - as "one long film" is the best way. Separately, though, I have to agree Volume 1 is the better flick.

re: kill bill

I have 2 but have not watched it yet for some reason. I think I was waiting on a friend who ended up moving . . .

Hmmmmm - watching the bride go crazy - could be a plan for tonight.

re: kill bill

There are some genuinely freaky moments in 2. Certain scenes made me physically uncomfortable. For those who have seen it, you probably know which ones.

Tarantino is one sick mofo...but a great filmmaker!

HMMMM - maybe I will hold it until New Years Eve . . .

re: kill bill

I think I am one of the few who just didn't "get" the appeal of these films. I found them overwrought, glorifying the violence instead of the struggle, and I think they placed art over humanity (which made them unwatchable to me).

But, i've been told I just didn't "get" them, so maybe I'm a dummie.

re: kill bill

I love Kill Bill! They're two of my favorite movies. I don't think I can really pinpoint exactly what I love about them, but I think most of it has to do with the music, the great colors, and the incredible Uma Thurman whom I have a major girl crush on now.

re: kill bill

I thought they were horrible.

So extremely violent that I gagged on several occassions. What was there to them, except violence?

Give me The Sound of Music ANY DAY.

I can't believe that anyone would support that utter tripe, but, that's just my opinion.

I'm GLAD I'm not desensitised to such depraved and repulsive images...

re: kill bill

I love, love, love these movies. The first is better, but that's not to say the second one isn't phenomenal too. My friends and I were the characters for Halloween last year...it was very nerdy.

re: kill bill

I don't really have a desire to watch them a second time (a little too gory for my taste), but I agree that the cinematography and use of colors were fabulous.

doxy, does this mean we have to break up now? Dammit. I guess gay boys and straight girls just weren't meant to be together.

Although thinking of that reminds me of that final scene where Uma kills Liu...
