It's funny that my two favorite directors, M. Night Shyamalan and Brian De Palma are so hated by the majority of the film-going public. I love them both, and they are the only two people (including actors), who guarantee my ass in a movie theater seat. They're films are events to me, and I love them! In fact, there was a De Palmaesque moment in LADY IN THE WATER. Oh, and, I think some people missed the point that the film is supposed to be funny. I don't know how they could miss that; but, it seems by some of the posts here, that they have.
