47 year old Singer Laura Branigan died in her sleep.....How sad....How young!!!!
WOW!! That's shocking. And sad.
Shocking news. I Loved "Gloria"...sometimes I still play it over and over. Her greatest CD is still one of my favorites. Condolences to her family.

It just goes to show you how fragile and precious life is. Also, I am 47. Makes me think.
Gloria was such a cool song. To die in your sleep at 47 is too freaky. How truly sad.

Oh how sad! "Gloria" is such a blast from the past....
And she was so young too.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
God rest her soul.

OMG, and I thought our boards got vicious at times. Went to read about Laura after hearing of her death, and we don't have anything on the laurabranigan.com forum.

cant believe she's gone....and so young. "self control" is by far my favorite song
Gloria is one of the anthemic hits of its era. And after it had been gone a while, it made a comeback of sorts in "Flashdance," played for the ice skating character. Sadly, that actress died young, too.
Branigan was musical-theater trained, I believe. I'd heard her considered for "Song and Dance" and other shows over the years, though she never came to Broadway.
Her Best Of CD is great. I still love "Solitaire," too.
Once again we are illustrated the neccesity of planning for the future but still living for today. You never know if u have tomorrow. God give her grace.

We just heard "Gloria" on the radio today. It's so sad, and her being so young...
Never mind...it was on a Laura Branigan tape.

which website? The ones I've seen don't mention a thing about her death nor did google turn up a link/story.
