Laura Braningan was the first concert I attended - I was 15 and "Solitaire" was just coming out (of course I was listening to it non-stop). I was too young to drive, so I took my entire family to see her at the Cheatea de Ville in Framingham, Mass (where I grew up). Strangely, I was just listening to her "greatest hits" cd while working out on Satuday, not knowing she had been taken from us.
I don't want this taken the wrong way, but she had been suffering from a headache for two weeks before she died, but had not sought medical attention. Not that anything can really be done for an anuerysm (can it?) but if it were me, I would have seen a doctor before two weeks was up.
That said, Gloria is one of my all time favourite songs and I was very sad to read about her death this morning.
I think a doctor would have run some tests. Perhaps a CAT scan?
I think something could have been done. You can't ignore a headache that persists for two weeks!

It's human nature to be in denial. How many die of heart attacks each year because they don't want to believe their chest pains are anything more than a bad spicy tuna roll?
"Not that anything can really be done for an anuerysm (can it?)..."
I believe you can get a surgery.
When it's your time, it's your time. It's sad when someone dies young but should remind us all to live each day as if it's our last. Carpe diem, kiddies.
