I wasn't picking on her. I'm genuinely curious about it.

God God...you queens need to sneak up on a valium and inhale it. No need for all the frothing at the mouth...

Unlike Fight Club, the first rule of Drama Queen Club is that you do not talk about Liza.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

LOL! You are right. But I am a good queen. I take care of my Liza.

Are you f*cking kidding me?
Noticing the parallels between Liza and Judy is somehow unfit for discussion?
rlb, I've noticed it for years. It's very, very sad. But also fascinating. How could someone who saw first-hand the ravages of this business (and drugs and liquor) fall into the exact same trap?
Cue Iris to come and chastise me.

Robbie, will you marry me?

I'm more interested in the parallels between Lorna and Sid.

I didn't read anyone dishing on Liza. I think rlbgbc raised a valid concern about her life paralleling her mother's. And how freaking unrealistic it is to think Liza wouldn't be discussed on this board.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

Well, pop, I would love to, but my man may have something to say about that.
Maybe we can all convert to Mormonism and marry as many as we'd like.
And then I'd like to take you home and eat...

But Robbie;
It is so cheap and easy. And so boring. The woman is phenomenal and I wish we could just talk about her talent and all the good things that are in fact going on in her life. And yes.. alot of older quuens are protective of her ( me included). Saw her in concert this past summer. She was wonderful.

Ha ha! I guess I will have to be the other woman then. That's fine.

The parallels to be drawn are Psychology 101. Go pick up a textbook. I'm tired of dragging Liza through the mud. I would hope we'd have a little more class on this board.
That said, DGrant, I'm fascinated - what parallels do you see between the elder and younger Luft?

Rath - although I was only kidding, I actually DO see a similar approach to life going on - straightforward, basic and with family at the center - and they both seem to understand that it's show BUSINESS.

How's that workin' for ya, robbie?
And DGrant - I guess those parallels are there, but I do believe Lorna is a bit more - sane - than her dad...

Oh please - I'm a lesbian so I can tell you better than anyone that women are definitely no more sane than men as a species!
Actually, that was a poor choice of words - I meant less perniciously controllling.

Rath - I'll EASILY grant you controlling. Having observed how Lorna lets her manager act, I'd say she could take a little more control for herself. I still think she's very much her father's daughter - at least as much as Liza is Judy's.

I hesitate to interject anything here, for fear of being strung up by the bollocks, but I'm throwing caution to the wind.
I think Lorna appears a bit more "sane" than her Dad -- and her stepsister -- because she's made a conscious decision to break the family pattern(s).
