She's on that Lifetime show Wild Card starring Joely Fisher. I don't know if it's still in production or not, but they still run it.
I thought this was about the "cha cha heels" one!

She's too talented to commit career suicide. What happened?
It's called a big paycheck and steady work. Nothing wrong with that.
She was in the Pasadena production of Purlie (now in Chicago and apparently headed to Broadway), but I don't think she's with the production anymore. She also had a small role in Crash earlier this year.

Nothing wrong if you are an actress with limited talent and a saggy bottom. But Devine is better than the likes of Valerie Bertinelli, Judith Light and Deidre Hall.

Oh right. I had forgotten about that. I'm glad to know she's still treading the boards.
Joely Fisher has quite a bit of talent and a tight, gorgeous figure. I think you need to do some more research before you jump on her for doing a Lifetime show. It's not 1998.
Goth, are you saying that anybody who has worked in the theatre before and then moves to television is "slumming"? Sounds like warped logic to me.

No, I'm saying that someone with Devine's talent shouldn't be slumming on the Lifetime Network. I enjoyed her work on Boston Public. But I don't think that theater should let her slip away like they have other talented people.

All that aside, I would LOVE to see her back on stage in New York sometime. I saw her in what I think was her last NY stage performance -- in EAST TEXAS HOT LINKS at the Public back in 1994. A great talent, NY's loss has been LA's gain.

I miss Boston Public. She was great on that show. But then they brought out Mini Me for her to date and I think that's when the show went downhill.
Yeah, Gotham, Boston Public is infinitely more tasteful than Wild Card. Clearly.
Thanks for that insight, SG.

I love Loretta. She was great on "Boston Public", but I would also like to recognize her hilarious work in Urban Legend. Seriously.
