I still have yet to finish slogging through this season. I think I'm on episode 5 and I already find it the most tedious season thus far.

And it's not like there weren't two or three great episodes this season. Okay, two. The premiere and Twisty's legitimately sad back story. These were enough to make me slog through the ridiculousness and hope for a satisfying conclusion. But no. Creative choices were made that not only made no sense dramaturgically. but were basically insults to the fans.

(Just because you have no idea how to end something, don't have somebody walk around at the last minute murdering all the characters you made viewers care about.)

If that's around when Twisty dies in the Halloween episode, then it really doesn't get better after that... I mean I liked a few scenes of Finn Whitrock chewing the scenery in his underwear and his mom, but even that is quickly dropped by Murphy's short attention span. Unless you're a big NPH fan and want to see his truly awful 2 episode arc?

Murphy is also saying that this season will be unlike any other (yawn.) With a drastic tonal and stylistic change unlike the transition between past seasons (didn't he earlier say he was going to tie them increasingly together? Though that was a lame idea anyway, but...)

At least Emma Roberts is tied up in his horror/musical/comedy series for Fox, Scream Queens.

Look, I hope she's good. Obviously, she's going to be a singer of some sort.

The ratings sucked so it was cancelled. I actually liked that show and would have loved to see where it went.

I think she'll be the mysterious hotel owner. The Bette Davis/Anne Baxter role.
