Ok, yeah, Laura Bush is not on a quest to change the world, but every interview I've seen her in, she proves to be a very mature, composed, thoughtful woman, who commands respect without making a lot of noise. What's wrong with that?

And from a Republican's point of view, I think that her class could have actually swayed some voters in the election, particularly when compared with who outrageous and immature Heinz is.

I think a lot of American's really care about the image that the 1st lady puts forth, not who will be the most 'interesting'...that sounds like scandal waiting to happen.

Just my opinions! :)

I really can't say I dislike Laura Bush. A long while back I saw an interview with her--kust beofre an important White House event--and she oozed class and threw in a little self deprecation. The reporter wanted to know about the dress she's be wearing and Laura went into a whole story about how she was up all night with a Simplicity pattern making the darn thing. The stupid reporter believed her, too!

Naw, her husband's an idiot and her daughters are drunks, but she's okay. I'll bet she'd be a fun person to spend a day with in NYC. A museum tour in the afternoon, dinner at a nice restaurant and a Broadway show at night. I have a feeling she'd really enjoy herself--and be good company, too!

I suspect she's secretly a fruit fly.

I find Laura plastic and insincere. And she and Dubya get low marks for what seems to have been VERY bad parenting.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who think she seems like a Stepford wife. Her eyes have that glazed-over look. I'd like to think that there's a good person somewhere in there, but why in G-d's name would she marry someone like Dubya?

If you've ever seen George W in his younger years, he was HOT!!!!!!
That's why she married him. That and his family's money.

I recall a magazine article about the Bushes' trip to China. The couple was at the Great Wall and Laura was fascinated and really wanted to explore it. The article quoted George as saying, "Okay we've seen it. Let's go home"

I think I dislike Laura Bush more than I do dubya... what really kills me is her comments about alzheimer's disease. She goes on national television and tells the world, that although her father died from alzheimer's disease, she doesn't care to find a cure because apparently there is no hope for one. What the hell is wrong with her? That bothers me so much, this blatant ignorance and stupidity on her part, as well as such intense apathy.... she disgusts me.
