Why not now?Racist witch! We have to go after her book publisher next! Just wait, Fox News will hire. She'll fit right in with Hanity and Beck.

In the last 5 years she's gone from airing on 450 station to less than 200- and many of her "Major" markets are time-shifting her show to rally undesirable slots like overnight.
She's read the writing on the wall.

Report abuse.Hijacking a thread is a good reason to notify Craig and Rob.Disrupting the forum is exactly what he is doing.

Vile creature, let the evil racist homophobe witch wither and die, or at least just be reduced to hate-filled Learning Annex seminars.

I love how Republicans always have to play the victim- Dr. Laura doesn't even trot out the traditional excuse used by right wing hypocrites exposed, ("I want to spend time with my family") she's claiming she's leaving to "regain my First Amendment rights."
Could she be any more pathetic!?

When you reach a certain level of pathetic-ness it's all the same.
Like whether it's -120 degrees or -125 degrees. It doesn't matter b/c you'll die either way if you're not dressed properly.
Laura has already hit the lowest possible depth of stupidity. She's just coasting now.

Agreed- Dr. Laura has reached Absolute Zero (Kelvin) on the Pathetic-ness thermometer.

Regain your first amendment rights? Does she even think of how stupid that sounds. Given her history, it makes it sound like she wants permission to be racist, homophobic and inappropriate.
Just an aside...USA or one of the cable networks showed "The 40 Year Old Virgin" last week and didn't bleep the frequent use of the N-word in one scene. So she does have a point...she just expressed it in the worst possible way.
I think the idea of "reclaiming" either the N-word or the F-word is asinine. They're both hateful.

Best putdown ever of Dr Laura. Thank you, Aaron Sorkin!

One wonders if Dr. Laura has ever heard he phrase "two wrongs don't make a right"? So what if Richard Pryor said it? Richard Pryor smoked crack, too. Dr. Laura if Richard Pryor jumped off a cliff, would you jump too?

Up until a few days ago, I didn't even know she was still around.

Here's a shocker: Palin defends her. Funny how both like to invoke the First Amendment, though neither seems to understand it. Freedom comes with a price, and part of that price is the consequences of your words or deeds.

Sarah Palin telling someone not to quit? Isn't that as ridiculous as Bristol Palin teaching abstinence? Oh, Never mind.....

I like the removal of the "Dr" from the original thread title.
Made me briefly think that ice queen Laura Ingraham would go the same route. I used to find her the most tolerable of a bad lot, but somewhere along the line she became one cold, acidic fish.

I like "Dr. Laura, as she's known on her radio program"!
I sense a subtle liberal bias in that sentence!

Wouldn't you love to see an interview where, say, Anderson Cooper does air quotes everytime he says "Doctor"?

I think Hannity's the worst of them because he's such a moron. Not an original thought in his Aqua-Netted head.
I do think Beck and Limbuagh have functioning brain cells, warped as they may be.
Palin...let's just say if she gets anywhere close to the Oval Office, I'm moving to Toronto. Does anyone in their right mind think she's the least bit capable of running a country?
