Comcast is going to soak a lot of cash making a new studio for the Tonight show at 30 Rock. Will e nice to have another show in town!

SNAFU aren't there rumors that they already are working on a new studio for Jimmy. I read a report that he's going from like 160 to 380 audience members and how it will be useable for movie premiers, etc.

Yes, They haven't started yet however (well maybe they haave, haven't been up there in a couple weeks they are going to gut Studio 7 G, Studi0 8G (SNL's sister studio where Donohue and Rosie Odonell taped) and studio 9 G and make a studio with a balcony and Mezz.

My pick to replace Fallon would be John Mulaney, but with his new sitcom coming up I don't see that happening.

Seth Meyers as Fallon's replacement, as has been rumored reeks of Lorne and it is not even an inspired pick like the Mulaney suggestion (which would sort of mirror Conan in the 90s). Seth has been at SNL forever and I am pretty sure NBC wants one late night show in LA especially now that Kimmel immediately benefits from no competition in bookings. They need somebody who has West Coast ties. Also some diversity from a white guy would be great. Maya Rudolph is all I'll say.

whitney cummings would be great. while her show whitney sucks, her standup is killer! she also did create 2 broke girls and her love you, mean it show was really funny.

With regards to building the new studio, New York State required that it had to seat a certain amount of people and that the show has to pull in so many dollars in tourist revenue.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "Late Night" female led "The View"-esque version of the show. 5 funny women, celebrity guest etc. It's "The View" but funnier and tolerable. Fey, Poehler, McCarthy, Cummings. I'm in.

^Way too many personalities. I think unless NBC is planning to radically change the format of late night (something I sincerely doubt) with the typical monologue, a few comedic bits, and one-on-one interviews, any late nigh show needs just one host.
Panels work on shows that want to encourage discussion like many shows on MSNBC/Fox News and a few talk shows like The Talk and The View. Loud discussion with people yelling over each other for attention is the last thing I think people want on their televisions as they're nodding off to bed.

You have Chelsea Handler does a panel show type late night show. It seems to work well.

Would Handler leave her show for Late Night? Not like it would be a breach of contract as she's mentioned she wants to do an hour and NBC owns E!.

What would help that is Handler is shot in LA. With Fallon, and Letterman being shot in NYC it would behoove them to move Late Night to the West coast. Kimmel is not going to have any competition on getting guests out there.

Believe it or not, Leno was actually quite brilliant in the eighties. The kind of comic other comics looked up to. Not so anymore, I'm afraid.
I think Myers is witty and smart and deserves his own talk show. Fallon...is cute. And not much else.

when they give Leno the Tonight Show back, will Fallon move back to Late Night and Meyers to TBS or will it be the other way around?
