I'll give one warning on Leon. I'm presuming most of you never saw the X Factor show which he won. His performing live was not incredily impressive at times. Sure, he can record a decent album in a studio, where he can get things wrong twenty times over. On stage? Not so much. ANYONE can make a record sound decent with the right people behind it.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Derek Mahon

"Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets."

While you are right that at times Leon's XF performances were inconsistant at times it is only fair to view this in the context that compared to every other contestant in the same series as him and previous ones Leon really was a true novice with only a handful of kareoke performances under his belt.
As part of Cowell's plan (not quite sure why) but Leon had virtually no live performances up until the release of his album confidence on stage is something he does struggle with but as seen in the Children in Need Live Performance of Creative Leon is fine after building up his confidence through a few performances.

The song is the thing here.

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

"In Oz, the verb is douchifizzation." PRS

The song is definitely superb. Very catchy and radio friendly.
