what cracks me up about this is the number of straight people who practically have sex in public, yet that is apparently ok...
You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss
If she kindly said "No, we will not stop kissing" what could have happened? What laws are being broken? I honestly think its this sort of intimidation that heterosexuals rely on and most the time it works. Rather than causing trouble, same sex couples give in.
I say they should have continued.
I heard about this yesterday. If it was a straight couple, they would have done nothing. Oh, but lesbians, that's "not normal". All of a sudden, when 2 people who happen to be of the same gender even hold hands everyone gets tense and afraid for their children's eyes. Well, guess what. At the age of 8, your child has probably heard the word "gay" before, and if he hasn't, he will. Homosexual relationships should be brought up the same time your child asks about heterosexual relationships. 2 people who love each other, they can be a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. Love has no gender.

I don't know if any of you listen to the Hot97 morning radio show, Miss Jones, but she brings up gay marriage a lot and she always talks about how she's against it because she doesnt want to explain to her daughter why two men or two women are getting married.
On the other hand (I sound like Tevye) the girl is probably blowing this out of proportion.
Miss Jones sounds like a moron. Public policy should not be dictated on what she feels comfortable talking to her children about. What a selfish, horrible human being. I don't know who she is, but I already hate her.
Wow, I was right.

Apparently she thought the whole 300,000 people dying in a tsunami thing was high comedy, too. And she likes to use racial slurs about people from the Caribbean.
I guess she feels quite comfortable talking to her kids about all that.
Why do you listen to that horrible human being?
On a lighter note...
I'd like to nominate the story on today's Yahoo news page for the "Best title of a news story about the gays" award.

Not defending the reaction, but I guess it's just what you are used to. I'm gay, and so of course I have no problem with it, and yet just an hour ago on my lunch break I saw two women holding hands as they passed me in the park, and I took a double take. Not because I thought such things didn't exist or were unnatural, but because I never see it where I live. Not in public, anyway.
Oh, please. This broad was on Tila Tequila. She probably was out for the attention, anyway.
People don't want to have to explain gay folk?
What's to explain? They think if their son is aware that some boys kiss boys that he's going to want to?
I knew boys kissed girls but that didn't make me want to try it.
Besides, I thought jock dudes were into watching sapphic scenes.
