Maher is an entertainer, something Rush claims he is. Maher is actually funny, Rush is just pathetic. Maher actually makes valid points,Rush has to lie.Maher is smart enough not to call a college girl a slut or ask for her to video tape herself having sex then post it online. Maher is smarter than Limbaugh.Maher can disagree with the Republicans and be funny not mean spirited like Rush.Maher does not have a history of being racists like Rush does.

So no. I respectfully disagree with you that Maher is hardly better than Limbaugh. HE IS A LOT BETTER! Anyone who compares the two and says they are the same is clearly wrong, in my opinion.

Calling politicians names is hardly new. God knows Obama is being called all kinds of names by those on the right and nobody bats an eye.

But Rush did not just slander Sandra Fluke. He slandered every woman who takes contraceptives, calling them all sluts who should send him their sex tapes. That's what the real issue is here and that's why he had to apologize.

The only thing Rush apologized for was his choice of words. He never apologized for what he said.

Givesmevoice beat me to it, but my ex-wife's stepdaughter was put on birth control at 15 to control her periods. Between the cramps and the bleeding, she was in agony.

The Limbaughs, O'Reillys and their ilk conveniently forgot that birth control isn't only about preventing pregancy and that's what makes what they say so mind-numbing. If childless Limbaugh had a daughter in the same position as the girl I mentioned above, do you think he'd think twice about doing anything and everything to help her, including contraception. i doubt it.

The whole thing Ms Fluke was talking about was she needed birth control for a condition she has (and I also have) to prevent and end ovarian cyst that could lead to cancer so yes some of us need contraception to survive (prevent ovarian cancer).

According to the hate monger Rush I have been a slut since I was 15. I have been on birth control since I was 15, I was nowhere close to being sexually active but I had ovarian cysts, which were extremely painful and dangerous.I was put on birth control (after a very embarrassing examination) to kill the cyst and prevent any further cyst from appearing. It just irks me when people speak out and have no idea what the hell the are talking about.

In my experience, the pill is and has been covered by insurance for medical necessity--be it for clearing up skin or hormonal imbalances, funky periods et al--for at least the last 30 years. It has not been covered when prescribed specifically for birth control.

Patricia Heaton used to be on billboards for Feminists for Life, so her tweets should be of no surprise to anyone. The ugliness within them also fits the profile of the the pissy bitch I witnessed at the stage door of "The Little Dog Laughed" four years ago. She and her hubby were there with Laura Bennett and her hubby. Laura was all smiles and couldn't be sweeter; Heaton exactly the ooposite.

I love Bill Maher and agree with him 95 percent of the time but this is one of those times I disagree. I do see where he is coming from but he has to look at the big picture here. If it was a heartfelt apology I think liberals would accept,drag it on a little while longer, then movie on. Rush apologized for using 2 words and then more or less went back to the insults. That and the ONLY reason he apologized was to save sponsors he was losing by the hour.Rush did not even bother to call Miss. Fluke. Here is a REAL apology.
