Notably absent is Madonna for W.E.
As usual the majority seem to come from children's movies.

For those curious, DAM999 is a semi-Bollywood film starring an American actor and mostly in English.

I'm betting on:

“Love Builds a Garden” or “Hello Hello” (Elton John)
“Star Spangled Man” (Alan Menken)
“Lay Your Head Down” (Brian Byrne)
“The Living Proof” (Mary J. Blige, Thomas Newman)

The fifth slot will most likely be a total surprise, but I would love Sigur Ros to slip in with “Gathering Stories” My instinct (which is usually wrong when guessing these things) tells me it's going to be “Coeur Volant”.

Contenders:

“The World I Knew” from “African Cats”
“Lay Your Head Down” from “Albert Nobbs”
“Star Spangled Man” from “Captain America: The First Avenger”
“Collision of Worlds” from “Cars 2?
“Dakkanaga Dugu Dugu” from “DAM999?

“Never Be Daunted” from “happythankyoumoreplease”
“Hell and Back” from “Hell and Back Again”
“The Living Proof” from “The Help”
“Coeur Volant” from “Hugo”
“It’s How We Play” from “I Don’t Know How She Does It”
“When the Heart Dies” from “In the Land of Blood and Honey”

I'm hoping at least one of the songs from The Muppets is nominated. My personal favorite is "Life's a Happy Song."

So stupid that Madonna's Masterpiece did not qualify because it does not appear straight away as the credits roll, what a dumb rule.

Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

Actually I think recently the rule was changed that even the first song appearing during credits isn't eligible. The song has to actually appear in the film.

I LOOOOOOOOOVEED "Star Spangled Man". It embraced the film's time and place to a T. I am hoping the Menken factor helps its cause because I think the Muppets could definitely take over the category.
