A little appalled by the bullying and meanness of certain queens over last night. I'm not necessarily referring to comments made here.. ( some are included) ... We ( as a community- the theater and diva loving community) idolize people and then can't wait to tear them down... even when it is not justified. I have some friends on FB and twitter whose sole purpose on these social venues is to be mean and catty. I deleted 6 long time friends today. Not that they are no longer my friends. But I don't want to read their BS anymore.
Back to Lorna, because she looked amazing and couldn't stop smiling...

I'm with broadwayguy, though. I guess I can get why everyone took Ellen's Liza joke negatively, but I thought the joke was about the scores of Liza impersonators. I thought it was a gay joke more than it was a Liza joke.
Phyllis; I agree with you. Liza herself has joked ( a few years ago) about being able to go out in the West Village and being mistaken for a man. Streisand used the same joke as well. BUT... it just did not come off as that way.
I'm with Dame. I cringed at that. Maybe it was because Jared Leto was a shoo-in for the Oscar essentially doing drag to play a transwoman, was going to be the first rewarded that night, and I was already bracing for some jokes relating to that or of that nature, not exactly expecting it at Liza's expense. If Seth MacFarlane made such a comment, all hell would break loose. Meanwhile, Ellen can kinda get away with it.
