re: Log Cabin Republicans stand firmly behind John McCain

Thanks for seeing where I'm coming from, Romantico.

It's not only this topic which is evoking the hate and anger, almost all the threads on the site lately are doing the same thing. I guess it's finally getting to me.

I know-I can avoid reading them, but there aren't very many other threads these days.

I respect your stance on the LCR's. I'm thinking that some of them may not be self hating, but self satisfied with their lot in life and not concerned about their GLBT brothers and sisters.

Blue-As long as I've been on this board, over 4 years, this kind of hate and anger towards anyone who seems to be conservative has been going on. It's not just about Ms. Palin!

This election year is a lot more heated, and that I completely understand. I think it's just that we basically only hear from the Dems on this board. I'd love to see even discussions and debates but it won't happen.

The one sidedness of this place just got to me tonight, that's all!

Plus the fact that I was pigeonholed-now that I just won't tolerate.

"Would you be willing to bet your life on what you and others are claiming her chuch did?"

That's a bit extreme. Is she a homophobe? Who knows, her party sure is full of them. One thing is FOR SURE, she certainly doesn't have a gay hairdresser.

Why is it extreme? It's being posted on these threads as if it were fact. I was just wondering how this "fact" was verified. I've neither seen nor heard anything that verifies it. Like most of what I've heard about her. Nothing to support it. Remember, the baby wasn't hers, either.

Jane, I have a gripe! I have found that the posters here generally ignore any thread about women and reproductive freedom. And, my comment is not only directed to the older male majority here, but the younger female posters who are more concerned with the stars of Broadway.

brd-I'm not sure if you're making a joke or not (I tend to be very literal) but if you're serious, well, I haven't noticed very many threads of that nature. Have there been?

I can only guess that maybe some males feel it's more of a woman's perrogative, so they stayed out of the discussion??

I see more discussion of Broadway stars on the main board, not so much here.

Hmm, I don't know what to say.

Oh, I see-you're counting THOSE threads, lol. I don't mind those. I pay no attention to them.

But I see what your point is. I guess we can see what's important to lots of people these days.

I've always equated Log Cabin (Gay) Republicans to :
Jewish Nazis
Black Ku Klux Klansmen

They may be members for certain reasons, but in the end they are associating with a group that wants to see them gone.

If they are "standing firmly behind John McCain" the f--king somebody's gettin' ain't worth the f--kin' somebody's gettin'.

Perhaps someone needs to forward the GOP platform to the LCRs they know. Be sure to point out the defense of traditional marriage, including calling for a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage, and that sexual orientation is not listed among the criteria for non-discrimination on page 51 of the booklet (.pdf page 111)
