"Looking for someone to cover muesums, art galleries."
What are "muesums"? Do I need to get dressed up to visit one?

Yeah, Joe. I wrote this early in the morning before going to my day job. There were a few errors so off with my head.
Namo, how could you? And BOOBS? I am sad!

A few errors. See, if you only paid, even a little, I'd be right there. I'm probably already seeing the events you want written up.
edited to add: Good luck!

I spent a lifetime lookin' for writers
Sushi bars and Channing impersonators didn't quite do
Eatin' at Trump Grill, hopin' to win
Eatin' with celebrities and gainin' again.
Chorus
I was lookin' for writers in all the wrong places
Eatin' entrees in too many spaces
Flippin' my chats, postin' some traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Hoping to find my own daily talk show
I'll bless the day I'm discovered;
A writer - lookin' for writers.
I'd like for someone, to write for my site
I did every thing I could to get me through the night
Don't know where it started or where it might end
I'd turn to a writer just like a friend.
REPEAT CHORUS AGAIN & AGAIN

Corine, I would like to cover the Matisse exhibit. Here's my vision: You have a link on your page and it says "NAMO = ART." When people click on it a background GIF of Matisse's "The Dance" loads in the background. The theme song for my coverage begins to play. It's a mash-up of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Frankie Valli's "Grease."
SONG:
[Gaga} MoMA MoMA
MoMA MoMa
[Frankie] We take big pleasure in the glowing paint
Conventionality belongs to yesterday
There is a painter who made it far
Painted lots of scenes, now we can see what they are
Matisse is the word
Matisse is the word, is the word that you heard
He went abstract while painting
Matisse played with time, and with place and with motion
Matisse knew the way nudes were feeling
He painted illusion
Ladies feeding turtles caused confusion
What he doing here?
[Gaga] MoMA MoMA MoMa MoMa
and fade.
I'm not sure what our production budget is, but I'll forego my usual fees, you get me passes to the exhibit, permission to shoot video inside as well as the music clearances and I'll be good to go.

Posted: 8/25/10 at 2:31amDon't we have a resident songwriter around here? Maybe he could help write some pieces for your site. What was that guys name? You all know who I am talking about, right? He was old and wrote country songs, something about Jesus paying off his gambling debts or something.

Well I think you need to work on your spelling first, SOMMS.
It's "muesums" not "muzeums"

Jim Colyer, that's right!
"Oooooh yeah!
Put Me On The Spot!
Gimme a chance
I'm in the mood
For a new romance
I'm in the mood
My love is hot
Gimme a break
Put Me On The Spot!"
Wow. Touching!! I have a feeling that a Corine/Jim collaboration could really take off.

Posted: 8/25/10 at 1:14pmSOMMS, you are sadly overqualified, having used a subject AND a predicate in the same sentence.
