Wait, OMG, was that guy IN the hatch? I turned my head for just a minute!
That's what it looks like, either he is or was down there. And the new season begins with a bang!

This is the Lost thread. It's on now. Don't read it.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Don't spoil it? If it's not on where you are yet, then don't read threads about it. o_O
Damn! Now I have to obssessivly watch that clip of Walt to figure out what he's saying. He looked so creepy all wet like that.
The hatch said quarantine. Does that mean it’s dangerous to go in, or dangerous to come out?
Good question. Considering it looks like someone's living there, I'd say dangerous to go out.

Totally hadn't thought that the quarantine might be to not go OUT! I got my self so spooked watching that I had to start doing something else while it's on (my roomate isn't home). This show is getting stranger and stranger.

And how is the dude living down there surviving? Like how is he getting his food supplies and things? And he seems to be in a time warp from the '70's.

What the hell! So the hatch leads to a sort of quarantine bunker that contains a random guy Jack met when he had bad hair?
Exactly!
I had a feeling that was going to be the hatch guy...weird stuff indeed.
Uh....wtf was that?
That was bizarre, to say the least. I'd love to know how they're gonna make sense out of this one...
Hey please for the sake of the people not in the Eastern Time Zone Please keep the spoilers to a minimum. Thanks
Why don't you just avoid the thread until after the show has aired in your time zone? This is a thread about LOST. Of course people will discuss what just happened.
so were suppose to wait till 12am before we can talk about lost? some of us have to work tomorrow morning. just don't read this thread until lost airs in your area.

I had to TiVo it and couldn't watch it until tonight. I saw this thread but stayed out until after I watched them.
What an exciting premiere! They just keep throwing new things, things I would not have "expected" at us. Like Desmond. HUH??? How long ago was Sarah's accident and surgery? How long was the wedding after that? A year? The Drs. Shepard were still on good terms then.
And why is Jack not married "anymore"? I'm sure that will be revealed in some future drama.
Now, was the fact the Rose did not believe her husband was dead just foreshadowing of the bar girl, Anna, being able to show up (she was also in the back of the plane, supposedly...unless she had snuck forward to a better seat!!!) or will they really be discovered somewhere? And what happened to Rose, anyway? Gone after the first couple of eps.
There's a whole different thread on Walt, I know!!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I think Rose's husband IS alive - and that Rose and the rest of the cast that are on the island right now are dead. They're in purgatory. That's my theory so far...though this whole Desmond thing has added layers of questions...but I Love it!
I've read that the creators of the show made a statement to the effect that there is a reasonable, scientific explanation for everything. So maybe they're not dead; maybe it's some sort of test subject situation.
Have you guys ever been to The Fuselage? It's a series of message boards where fans can chat with the creative team and cast of the show. Terry O'Quinn comes on there a lot, as do many of the writers and a couple other cast members.

In all of the pre-season interviews the series creators have gone out of their way to say that, no, they are not in purgatory. They swear it.

Um, mom is the creator of the thread and doesn't need to worry about the risk of spoilers. She was thinking of posters in other timezones, which is also the reason she changed the title of the thread.
