I have a Mac at work and a PC at home. I like both.
I produce motion graphics at work, so we're all on Macs there... except for our 3D (Maya) guys. They're all on PCs. Until recently the Maya program was only available on PC. Now it's available for Mac as well, but the processors and particularly the rendering speed aren't as fast as a PC. So, all our 3D artists prefer PC, but all other graphic designers where I work are on Macs, myself included.
And the Mac-loving designers are VERY vocal about how much they hate PCs! I believe it's because they honestly can't figure them out. If you were "raised on a Mac" you have trouble with PCs. If you were raised on a PC, switching to Mac (like I did) wasn't hard at all. It's much easier to go from "PC to Mac" than "Mac to PC."
There are advantages and disadvantages to both platforms, but they differences between them are growing smaller with each new updated system. The OS X system is UNIX-based, and the newest version of it will be able to run a virtual Windows-based desktop while on the Mac. So, pretty soon you won't even be able to tell the difference, from a user POV.
