I was so excited to read the Madonna tour dates yesterday especially since she will be coming to the city I live in. I just wish the tickets weren't so expensive. I can not buy the $355 tickets since I was let go from the company I worked at for 23 years last July when the company decided to relocate and can't find a job. I will probably try for the second price level.
I have seen every Madonna tour including the Virgin Tour in 1985 when I waited overnight for tickets (I was first in line and waited 25 hours) and bought 6 tickets in the 10th row on the floor. I still have my ticket stub and only paid $15.50 per ticket! When her Reinvention Tour came to town, I had already bought tickets and was also lucky enough to win tickets on the radio for a different night to stand in the pit on the stage! That is an experience I will never forget. I have been a Madonna fan since 1983 and enjoyed seeing everyone of her tours live. I particularly liked the Virgin Tour, Blond Ambition Tour and the Reinvention Tour.
I can't wait to see this tour and just hope I am lucky enough to get a decent seat.

SongAndDanceMan I did like the new mix of Like a Prayer on the Sticky and Sweet tour but in general I didn't like the new mixes (Stuart Price who had done them since Drowned World for her tours was missed) and it just felt kinda tacky or else too similar to her past tours... Anyway have better hopes for this one.
Ha and yes, the Pet Shop Boys got the lyrics right when they wrote She's Madonna for Robbie (I can't help thinking about the song when I hear her new one but I suppose it's not too rare to rhyme Madonna and "Wanna") I'm sure (I hope?) that Madonna meant to sound funny--I saw some of her anderson interview and she was mockingly complaining to an audience member who said she couldn't always afford to travel to see her--but if she thinks most of her fans spend $300 on handbags instead of seeing her, she really is a bit out of touch... (not to mention it's hard to work all year to see her when she announces a tour and sells tickets immediately:P )
