I am aching to see Iggy Pop's tribute to her and her speech, which I imagine addresses critics of her being inducted.

If they are inducting pop and rap groups, then she is absolutely worthy.

There's plenty of people inducted in the past that aren't """ROCK AND ROLL""".
The SUpremes, Grandmaster FLash, Brenda Lee, Dusty Springfield, The Staple SIngers, The SHirelles, Gladys Knight, Martha and the Vandellas, ..

If anything Madonna has a rock and roll attitude and approach to everything she has done in her career. and always said FU to the establishment. Plus, has garnered more hits than all of those names i mentioned above combined!

Justin mentioned 47 top 40 hits....that's more than the beatles or elvis...isn;t it?

on music alone...she deserves it.

is there ANY way I can look like that at 50? jeez. i don't care what she's done.
I remember when Cher was 50 and doing 'Believe' about 10 years ago.
and in no way can hold a candle to what Madonna looks like now.
she truly looks fab. and her ARMS! oh my. she's buff.

Well deserved. She has certainly had an impact on the music business for the past 25 years. I just wish someone other than Iggy Pop performed her songs as a tribute. I thought he sucked.

Now that we know the new cd, Hard Candy, will be out in April it's time we hear about the new tour.

Madonna by far has the best body in show business. I'll never understand why the papers put anorexic women on the covers for "best bodies." When Madonna dances, walks, or jogs- nothing moves!! Not one ounce of fat- total muscle. I should look so good at 50!!!! You go, girl!!!
