#7re: Madonna launches her own wine
Posted: 1/8/06 at 11:32pmIt's not actually her wine -- she and her "people" have nothing to do with it. I think it's just a vineyard who's marketing it with her photograph on the label (though obviously they probably had to get permission to use her image).

First off, notice how quickly Confessions on a Dancefloor just disappeared, POOF. You may recall I predicted it would.
However, I think Madonna is onto something with the wine, what with that crazy Sideways fad the kids are into today. And, being sexually provocative as she is, I'm sure Madonna's wine will come in a box.

Posted: 1/9/06 at 12:23amYou must watch the first 4 minutes of "that's kentertainment" (see front page, right hand column) in which Ken does a send up of the video. What's so funny is - it's just as ridiculous as the video it's mocking

Posted: 1/9/06 at 12:26amWell.. She does have "mountains" - has been been on her back more than once. And I'm sure she's broken something at one time or another..

Actually, I believe it's doing pretty well -- it has sold 4 million copies worldwide so far (benefiting from the Christmas shopping season), which is a lot more than her last album sold. The album is currently #21 on the Billboard Top 200. It's just inbetween singles right now, which is why you haven't heard much lately.
Enjoyed the box joke, though.

She has started enjoying beer thanks to Guy. I think she has always enjoyed wine.
And, I know nothing about the wine she is selling, but it may be her dad's vineyard maybe.
Namo. Good grief. This is all so beneath you.

No, it's not her Dad's vineyard. It's some random vineyard in California, I think.
From what I've read about it (and this was many weeks ago), it's a tribute from a fan who happens to own a vineyard, and Madonna's people approved. It's not actually "launched" by Madonna, though.

Namo, how exaclt has Confessions disappeared "as you predicted?"
As of last week, HUNG UP was #1 in sales in the US, CONFESSIONS was #3 in Canadian sales, and it's doing pretty phenomenally globally.
If you insist on spewing constant negativity, at least have some factual backup.
