Love Mama Cass. Sad she left us so young. What a voice.

Genius of interpretation and timing. Catch the mischievous, playful spirit, the bluesy unique lingering timing in this "Dream a Little Dream of Me" clip. The music follows the singer, as it should be. Love the blues/jazz & piano accompaniment. That piano is tuned for jazz.

The outfit, a golden tent with ostrich trim, well, only she could get away with that. How young she is. Is that a retainer across her top teeth?

Enjoy this clip of Cass singing a medley of Simon & Garfunkel songs with Julie Andrews. It just doesn't get any better than this.

About 10 years ago, I was flipping channels and came across the Pufnstuff movie - right at the start of that scene. I said to myself, "Who the hell is that chubby witch? She's an awful actress. How did she get hired?" Then she started to sing and I realized it was Mama Cass!
