Manson follower Susan Atkins dies at 61

I am thankful she did not get her dying wish and that she died in Prison. I try not to be heartless but I hope Sharon Tate and the other victim's family can rest a little easier knowing this monster has died. Hope Charlie Manson is next.

Isn't it touching that she died a married woman, though. This woman who committed such hideous atrocities was allowed to marry while in prison, and so many law abiding gay men and women aren't allowed to marry.

Not to mention that she gave birth to a son. Something that Sharon Tate never got to do.

I'm glad she didn't get the death penalty. I am glad she died this way and that she did not get to die outside of prison walls. I am glad she had to live with her crimes for 40 years and think about it.I wonder if the Tate family or Roman Polanski will make a statement.

He was largely responsibly for the petitioning for her release and has written quite extensively about their relationship.

Exactly.....just like Richard Ramirez, Menendez, and other killers. How come they can get married, but gay people in California can't???

Forty years ago Susan Atkins looked into this beautiful woman's face showed no mercy to her or her unborn son and plunged a knife into her 16 times killing her. In my opinion she lived 40 years too long. Good riddance may you burn in hell for what you did.
