There's a quote somewhere from I think Ann Hamburger, the Executive VP of Walt Disney Creative Entertainment at the time, saying Nemo will not be moved to Broadway and will stay at Disney Word. Alas, I cannot find it... Also, if we're talking parks, Pocahontas had a full-blown show at Disneyland and Disney's MGM Studios. (The other theme park productions are Aladdin, BatB, TLM, Hunchback, Jungle Book, Tarzan, The Lion King, and Snow White. There are probably more; I'm not all that well-versed...

"That would be Hair's Allison Case." She was in the original cast, but she's not on the recording. And it doesn't matter, they are all annoying and cloying in the part. It's Kate Wetherhead on the recording.

I'm rooting for Hunchback and Aladdin. I adored the HoND minishow at Disney World and adore the currently running Aladdin show at Disneyland. Both of those movies work REALLY well on stage, and hearing the HoND score performed live was chill-inducing at times. Hercules had a musical as well, on the cruise ships. It was pretty quirky. Hercules was akin to Elvis, Hades did standup, Pain and Panic were female, and one of the Muses was a man. Still cute enough, though.

I really like the score and the story of Love Never Dies, but I think it would be much better as a standalone show, not a Phantom sequel. The characters are completely different, except for their names. If the names were changed, you'd have a completely new and original show, with nearly no ties to Phantom at all. Just caught the Shrek performance. What was the character in the fatsuit-looking thing, with the blue striped pants and orange jacket? Tweedle Dee/Dum? That's all I could guess.

(I think this should really be on the off-topic board...) I've read about 15 different reviews and only 2 were mixed. None were negative. Some were absolutely glowing. 89% on RT is really good! When I checked a few hours ago, there were only 6 reviews, so it was 83%. Little Mermaid has a 90% rating. SO excited for this movie.

Wow, that really DOES look like a male version of Toothless... Was the image of Julie Andrews with big fuzzy wings not clicking for anybody else? It was like looking at an obviously photoshopped picture or something. (My mind had no problem with Dwayne's fuzzy wings and tights though, oddly enough...)

Oh my god (you guys), Sheridan and Duncan were both... Wow. They sounded like kids in a high school show. And Sheridan is blaming it on nerves?? She'd better work on that, because you cannot do live theatre if you get nervous easily.

Bryant is the first cover for Carlotta. She DID play the role full time on tour a couple of years ago. Ahhh, that was it. I knew she played Christine in the tour, but I couldn't find anything about her playing Carlotta in it when I looked earlier today.

'Cuz Hugo said so. 'S'true. Practically any living thing that comes within ten feet of him is attracted to him. Besides, I think the whole female/gay audience sees him as a love interest (or is that just me?..). Strong, brave, loyal, righteous, handsome, he's got it all.

Why was I thinking that Kimilee was the principal Carlotta? Weird.

Figures 'Miley' would go for the most cultured and thought-provoking piece of theatre on Broadway. Does she have tickets to see Shrek, too? (Nothing against the two shows; just sayin'. )

^ I saw Gavin L. on tour just a few weeks ago, and he was still phenomenal. Christian has a bit of a rep for getting bored with his roles after a while (-coughLegallyBlonde-), so it wouldn't surprise me if his Bert is a little dull, though it seems a little too soon for him to be bored already.

As filler's Megan Hilty & Julia Murney have stepped in for the concert. I'm not very familiar with the two artist, other than their names. It's Chenoweth. I'd go. Megan is one of my favorite Galindas and I loved her in 9 to 5, and Julia is fantastic as well.

Small towns, race relations, and musicals just don't mix... My small-town high school put on a production of Carousel with a black Billy and a white Julie my junior year, and people actually walked out when they kissed after If I Loved You.

So, how many tourists bought tickets to that thinking they were seeing the sequel to Cats?

... Wha? It was produced in 1996 so that Canada could make Americans look bad and feel guilty about their president? I couldn't understand what the hell that last paragraph was trying to say...
