"Marc Anthony Addresses 'God Bless America' Performance's Racist Remarks After MLB All-Star Game."
I bet many of these people don't know the song was written by an immigrant.

Posted: 7/18/13 at 10:49pmI agree with one commenter who suggested that social media is putting the nation's innards on display. The media elites on both ends of the political spectrum are no longer able to wrap the news in a nice package with a pretty bow. Information technology has enabled some very mean-spirited and oft-ill-informed people to spread their vitriol with abandon. I wonder what Mary-Louise Parker has to say about this latest episode.

The ignorant scum of the earth take to twitter once again with their racism and hatred.
Marc Anthony, like myself was born and raised in New York and is of Puerto Rican descent.
How F*CKING DARE THESE PEOPLE.
He had every right to be singing that song. He's an American. PERIOD.

It's not even just ignorance, but a willfull lack of desire to think differently or learn something different. They don't want to look past themselves and their own to even acknowledge that people can be different and from the same place or even the age old argument that any family can be traced far enough back to show immigration from somewhere to somewhere.
And while on the subject of the scum of the earth... 'Sup, Sue?

Portaricans don't look like Americans to me. They do look like Mexicans so that's why I said he was Mexican, well, excuse me for livin'. And now everybody is calling me a racist! Christ. I may have made a mistake, but then again, when I think of "God Bless America" I think of, well, you know, regular Americans singing it, not, well, you know, people from somewhere else, I mean, they can be from somewhere else way back in the olden days, sure... but, I mean, from somewhere else where people don't look like Mexicans."

These are the same God-fearing people who want to put Christ back in Christmas, who are too dumbass to know it started as a pagan holiday.
They want AMERICA!!!
The one that never existed to begin with.

^THANK YOU!!
Even if he wasn't born and raised in the states he still should have every right to sing that song. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory and while we value our own Idiosyncrasy above any other, we are still american. We sing the Star Spangled Banner, recite the Pledge of Allegiance, we celebrate the Fourth of July, the American flag always stands next to our own, and most importantly our people also fight and die for this nation.

Celine Dion sang the song on the TV special America: A Tribute to Heroes shortly after 9/11.

Where was the outrage then? Is it 'cause she's Canadian and/or white?

Remove the Canadian part and there you go. That's all you need. White, white, white! That's the white way.

I'm ready for the South to just secede from the Union again. Except it isn't just the South. It's NY and L.A. and all points in between.
Can we just create a new country for backwards bigots and then cut off all their supplies and oxygen?
EDIT: Although judging from their comments, I'd say their oxygen was cut off long ago.
