So, I saw this movie tonight, and was a bit disappointed.
It was a cool movie and definetly interesting, but not as exciting as I thought it might be. I dunno, fell short to me... good movie, just not great or bad, just average and wouldn't see it again.
Who's seen it? What did you think? Just curious to see some opinions....
But a few other things, is Antartica any solid ground? I personally have two thoughts on this... my friend said I was wrong, but I don't understand how I could be.
Is it glacier or land... ??

Haha, I'm right!! I knew my friend was crazy...
I personally said it was solid ground, covered in ice after it shifted from pangeia. He said it was a glacier... and was a part of pangeia, I didn't get it. If it had land and tree and animals when a part of pangeia, than how could it than become a floating piece of ice?
It could have been a glaicer, but than it was nice part of pangeia, or it could not be a glacier... and be a part of pangeia... however, it can't be a mix (what he thought).
And found my own answer searching (took like 5 seconds lol).
On the surface, Antarctica may seem very similar to the Arctic, but the two areas are, in fact, very different. The Arctic is an oceanic basin lying beneath a thin layer of ice. Antarctica is a land continent buried under a permanent ice sheet and surrounded by ocean. The ice sheet that covers almost all of Antarctica is more than a mile thick. Beneath the weight of the ice sheet, the rocky surface of Antarctica often sinks thousands of feet below sea level.
So I'm right, it is a land mass, and a part of pangeia at one point covered by ice from cold weather I guess... the land might be underwater, thousands of feet BUT... it is no glacier.
I dunno, just glad I'm right cuz I would seriously have been just dumbfounded if he was cuz I would have no idea how it could be possible.

Didn't you hear about the Broadway musical version of MARCH OF THE PENGUINS being planned for 2006/2007?
I think Idina would be PERFECT in the lead role!

Posted: 9/2/05 at 12:10pmI saw the movie and thought it was very informative and interesting...I could see how someone might find it a bit boring though. I think it's really amazing that they have to go through all that just to give birth. Plus, penguins are adorable! P.s., Jaykid, I love your avatar! Everytime I see it, it reminds me of my dog...she looks like a husky, but isn't.

That movie was an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. I guess it was informative but it was so hard to sit through. Now Boy George on the otherhand...that could have been interesting.
