Mary Ethel wasn't so bad. You guys are being mean. Alright, maybe a tad annoying at times but certainly not to the point of warranting such ill will.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

beave, I didn't invite this. I was brought into this silly little stew via a pm. Nothing harsh has been said ....yet! . If I asked you to keep something private I expect the decency of that respect. Apparently that means little to some. And I won't make that mistake twice. Some of you guys would be great at "whisper down the lane" but lousy lawyers or priests. Best to stick to drama queens!

To the contrary of tweety's silly fantasy story, I do NOT keep in contact with more than 5 or 6 people and that's occassionally. Fact is proven, via Joe posting my pm, that most BWW's don't know me and I don't solicit BWW recognition as others seem to require.

M.E. and a handful of others have been dumped on and/or saw no point to be here. Can't blame them. I felt the need to privately set some things straight. Its' dirty pool to sink the ball when no one is looking.

For the record: 1. M.E.'s never asked or has been considered to be a moderator. The only "abuse" he/she is guilty of, to my knowledge and I know him/her, might be the never ending quizes! LOL! which might have been a little too knowledgable and upbeat for some to swallow.

2. Like the witch of the west, I have no power here. Nor do I want it. I just write my column, like it or not. But personally abusing BWW staff writers will result in a house falling on someone.

No hard feeling with anyone...life's too short... move on.

For the record: 1. M.E.'s never asked orhas been considered to be a moderator.

To let me clarify, what I was told was that M_E was given moderator privileges but would be overseeing the Dallas section of the Regional News on BWW. He would not be a moderator of the main board itself but had the same authority and abilities as one.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

Wow, twice the term drama queen has been bantered about. Why do I sometimes get a homophobic vibe when I hear that term expressed?

And putting on my best lousy lawyer hat I have to ask, who initiated the PM? Isn't that an invitation to the party? And if an unsolicited PM is received from an unknown party why would there be an unspoken obligation to keep it private?

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

Perhaps, because you want to look for a problem. Drama queens are not gender specific. They can be male or female. Problem? ...not for me.

I've already explained why I pm'd. A private messages should remain private if the sender specifically requests privacy regarding that particular post. It's a matter of principle and respect, in my opinion.

You're grasping at straws looking to make touble. I've made my statements and my peace. Take the high road on this and move on. Jose is busy planning 2 parites.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

I'm asking questions. How does that constitute making trouble? And no matter how one attempts to rationalize it, the term drama queen, in all its forms and connotations or gender, is a slur...an insult...a barb. Often it's meant and used light heartedly, jokingly, while sometimes it not. My perception of its use in this thread was that it was not being used as a positive term.

And again I get back to the fact that if you don't know a poster or their principles how does one automatically grant them respect when they approach you with a PM? And how suspect would one be of the veracity of the content in a PM? Bottom line is to never assume anything in writing is private...anywhere or anytime.

But on the subject of trouble I find it very divisive to toss out qualifying terms such as "take the high road" or to include the name of another poster (or his activities) when he has not posted in this thread. But I guess I'm the one looking to make trouble.

I know that full moon isn't for another couple weeks.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

Who ARE these people? Do you all know each other from Broadway.com? Why did you come here from there? Why did some of you leave? (Why WON'T some of you leave?)

Does PB Entertainment write a column here?

And WHO or what is Pati?

I feel like the bewildered date at a nightmarish family dinner.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

Let's make one thing clear that the phrase "drama queen" has many connotations. My 11 year old daughter, C11 is a drama queen.

And, I send PMs that I hope are generally understood to be private.

Now, I will remind you all that although we have “names” on this Board, this is a public forum in which anyone with an internet connection and a keyboard can view our posts.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

You're Henry Winkler when Rhoda brought him to Mary's party, that's who you are, Pally.

"Namo, I've always had your number since your bw.com days."

Then what was with the sucking up on this site? Talk about your game playing. Or do you mean you did a zabasearch and you literally have my number? If so, call me! We'll do lunch at Hooters!

"Best to stick to drama queens!"

Yeah, it definitely reads homophobic when you say it, Pati. Try the n-word next, that might fly better.

"LOL! Boring as hell!"

You're sending mixed messages (again), PatiB.

"I just stated the reason he left to you and a few others on this thread, privately, rather than make another drama queen issue to dish out the usual crap."

The bold section shows you some more game playing. And DRAMA!

"To the contrary of tweety's silly fantasy story..."

I think this is one of Pati's references-that-only-she-understands, and I think it's a reference to me. Why do I think this? When I took a month's hiatus due to a death in the family, I checked in one day and saw that she had written something about my not being here along the lines of "I think Namo taw da puddy tat after he melted down and da puddy tat ate tweety." I know she knows what she meant, and really, isn't THAT what matters?

'No! I am definetly not "involved" .'

On the contrary. Just writing that doesn't make it true. LOOK how involved you are!

"M.E. and a handful of others have been dumped on and/or saw no point to be here."

Been dumped? By their significant others?

"I felt the need to privately set some things straight." DRAMA!

"Its' dirty pool to sink the ball when no one is looking." Again, Pati must know what she means. And good for her.

"Jose is busy planning 2 parites."

Do you mean like gender parity and racial parity or do you mean parody? Which your post reads like.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

"I do not see the need to express my opinions to some and not all." .

"If that were the case then why do people use private messages.
What do you think they discuss? Things they are more comfortable sharing without the general public being involved.
God knows how a topic here can get out of hand minuets before it's deleted.
I'm not endorsing poor private conversation and I do not have a repuation for being a gossip or trouble maker in any of my dealings. But some very unpleasant things have gone down here and people sometimes speak about it privately. Should people just start randomly posting them publically?. The board would likely be sut down.

"the fact that you trashed a moderator to me in a PM"

" Trashed? I privately expressed my opinion about controversial threads initated by someone who should know better and made a tasteless reference. And you agreed and added to my opinion. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black? I am surely not the first to make expressions like this. Worse than that has been posted publically, but I chose not to sway the entire boards opinion of an otherwise decent person" Trashing ?...that your intrepretation."

"and then go on these tirades on the boards shot your credibility with me a long time ago.. " I was simply defending someone who isn't here to defend himself. Again, none of this would have taken place if my PM's were kept private as it should have been. Re-read few my posts. I don't consider this a triade but addressing an issue that I was brought into. I attempted to put it to rest. Others here decided to go off on a tangent and continue to stir controversary"

You have admitted the lot of us disgust you - so why put up the pretense of being here. "

"I have said nothing of the sort. Amnog the many decent people on BWW, I feel there are a number of dramatic, overly harsh, overly emotional, over the top, attention mongers who will argue over anything with anyone, put down anyone for no valid reason. And I know I am not alone in that opinion. And I experienced this first hand to the point that no one should have to deal with. Some of you will cause Admin. to get extra moderator help if things don't calm down here. I would not be here at all unless my name was brought into this today. I'm quite sure I don't belong here anymore and I'm fine with that. I have neither the time or interest to deal with the attitudes and mentality of some of you who live here!".

"I write for the general public, and theater patrons who visit the main site. I don't keep track of who visits my column nor do I care. I openly support the other staff writers and generally endorse the main site. But this place is on it's on and often out of control on many levels; another fact that I have shared with the right parties".

I made the mistake of expressing a few opinions privately to a select number of people on a few issues, as many many other people do, never thinking anyone would stoop as low as to bring my insignificant opinion in the public forum with a feeble attempt to discredit. I have little respect for anyone who would take my request for privacy, regardless of the content and make it a public issue. I've learned not to trust strangers even on the smallest matters and will not make this mistake again.

If this topic continues to take an unfavorable turn and gets more personally abusive, I will ask that it be deleted. This is not the sort of conversation that should continue on a public forum. I apologize to decent people who have had to put up with this nonsense. Be forwarned, anything you say privately can and will be twisted, slanted and thrown to the wolves".

See! I told you some people have no clue who I am or what's going on.
LOL! All this...because poor Joey just had to post my PM. It could all have bee avoided. It's 12:09 am. I had no idea what goes on here late at night. I'm tired... But at least you've had your late night Letterman show!

And Namo... I think you're related to Mork from Ork. I have no clue what you are talking about. But you can buy me a drink if I get to beantown and explain yourself, slowly. You owe me for all of this nonsense.

People I work with can't beleive these boards get this crazy...but you can bet they'll never come here.

Hopefully it will indeed be like a nightmare that qualifies for the early morning deletion button...and you can all start to forget me...again.

re: mary_effin'_ethel?

And while I'm at it, let me explain why I asked about Voiceanth. You remember Voiceanth, don't you, Pati? You should, you discussed him in a few unsolicited PMs to me. PMs that I never agree to the confidentiality of. Remember this from last April?

"I really don't know who you are, sorry. But I just picked up on your comment. Thanks for responding and please don't share this. I'm not a trouble maker, but I will never send some of the people I know or work with to that board!"

Not a troublemaker? That seems to be a reoccurring theme. And if true, then why start sh1t? You never send people to that board? Aren't you doing Rob a disservice? Of course you are. But then you do every-time you take a snip at the board, the baboons, the jackals, the moderators, and the other writers on the board. All the while feigning innocence, all the while behind one's back. You are, in my opinion, no friend to this board and are only out for what it can do for you.

Or this:

"But between you, me and the wall, this last article by VA really lacks class. It oozes slang, and gay overtones. While that's the general atmosphere with this site, by choice, I still think the columns should possess a general audience standard of writing. But then, I'm not going to make waves. I certaintly don't want a repeat of what happened with DP and myself with VA. Besides, he's too popular among his "fellow" posters."

And who are those fellow posters? Would they perhaps be drama queens? No wonder I get the negative vibe where the hair stands on the back of my neck. I never posted this before because I never wanted to hurt Voiceanth's feelings. But I guess it's liberating to know how one of your fellow writers actually feels.

And please, don't even get me started on a standard of writing. Dear Lord, I could go on, but to do so would break the confidentiality with someone I DO respect.

You may not really know who I am, but people that do know I detest games...and game players, especially those that want to start sh1t then sit back and cry victim.
You brought this on when you sent yet another surreptitious PM to someone. And I think the motivation of that now seems pretty clear.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.
