Oooh, good call. LOTR: ROTK. When Sam is all, "I'll carry you, Frodo!" Waaaaah...
You know what movie I really didn't like? Lost In Translation. Did nothing for me.

Oh, Sam! How I adore thee!
And did anyone else cry UNCONTROLLABLY during the last episode of the first season of Queer as Folk?

Posted: 9/25/04 at 9:10pmOooh, has anyone seen Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind? That was good. Very good.

What a great movie!

Who didn't feel anything during Sam's speech in LOTR: TTT?
I thought it was.....weird. And everyone in my Drama class freaked out because they adored it.

You know what's frightening? When I wrote my comment about Sam talking to Frodo, in that span, there was like, 5 messages that went before me.

Yay for Julianne! But may I remind everyone that this is a Forgotten thread? I believe that a Lord of the Rings love thread is heading our way soon for all of you thread jackers

I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS SO MUCH!
And might I add that Faramir is my husband?

Guys...girls...
Did it ever occur to you that we're sitting here on a Saturday night talking about movies on an anonymous Broadway board instead of actually, like, going out and, y'know, watching them?

Hey now, the only reason we are here is because several of ss just went out and saw The Forgotten. How many movies do you want me to see today?

I thought Moulin Rouge was a beautiful movie, visually and sometimes aurally, but it didn't make me feel anything except during El Tango de Roxanne.
The last time I sniffled during a movie (I never actually dry, strangely) was towards the end of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I know! Didn't you just ADORE it?!?
EDIT: Tiff, I just spent, like, 7 hours at the mall. I'm at home, waiting for my friend to tell me if she got a comeback, and my SO to tell me how his went.

Damn. So I'm the only one who's been in the same apartment since Wednesday morning and hasn't even ventured onto the balcony to get some air?
(In my defense, it's been self-imposed. But still.)

I loved Eternal Sunshine. What a trippy art-house movie it was. More blockbusters should be like that.
And I'm currently on and AiA kick. I cried within the first 13 minutes of the first episode of Millenium Approaches. So beautiful.

Back to LOTR: My best friend wrote a paper once on the gay undertone of Sam and Frodo's friendship in LOTR for our critical analyzing class. She said it was her favorite part of the movies and she was thrilled she was able to finally use all the info she had found on sites dedicated to it earlier.
Our professor said she HAD to go watch the movies again after reading that paper.
